Next, enter the tent through the door in the center of the second level. The tent has mosquito netting and a rain fly. The site is nestled in the woods, private, and over looks a horse pasture.
There is a fire pit, with a grill as well as a rocket stove. We do not provide firewood. However, you are free to gather dead fall wood to add to your fire. The canopy of trees keeps even the dry wood difficult to light. Please bring fire starters, charcoal briquettes, etc. for helping you get a fire going.
Sit around the campfire. Go to sleep listening to the creek and frogs. Read a book. Dream new dreams. This is a great place get away from it all.
Included are many kitchen amenities for you to use, a Coleman Stove, pots, pans, plates, a coffee percolator, and utensils.
If you wish to have more than 3 people, message me, and we can work it out. There is a small, flat spot that accommodates a small tent, too.
Located in Moravian Fall, NC, about 15 minutes from Hwy 421, this shelter is complete with a rain fly and mosquito netting. The campsite is situated on a steep hillside, overseeing a horse pasture. The tent is designed to protect you in all weather conditions, rain or shine.
Once you arrive, you will have a short, 3 minute trek down the stairs, down the hillside, through the woods to this location. You will be surrounded by trees and embraced by the landscape. The Tree Tent is built to house three people. Below the tent is the Trillium, a hammock that provides three more sleeping spaces. However, because of weight limitations, we do not allow 6 people.
Lay on the hammocks and listen to the horses grazing peacefully below the camp. The creek babbles near by. In the evening, the tree frogs sing their nighttime song. When the fireflies come out, they twinkle like nature's Christmas lights.
A short walk away, is the common area, which includes the creek, slack line, slide, the well, potable water, the outdoor dish washing station, etc.
Please consider our other sites as well. They will be listed to the right of this site on your computer screen. The Babbling Brook Treehouse, Happy Hillside Hammock Camping, and the Cozy Cottage Farm Stay. All sites are unique, fully equipped, and are within walking distance of each other.
LOCAL ACTIVITIES: to the west is the Blue Ridge Parkway, which is 30 minutes away. 15 minutes away is Kerr Scott Dam where you can rent kayaks, pontoon boats, as well as other sporting equipment. Fish, go mountain biking on the extensive trails, and hiking.
Prayer Mountain is right up the road, about 2 miles away.
Heading east, you can find several fine wineries and vineyards that you can visit. There is also a moonshine distillery in town. About a half hour away is an Amish community that has several businesses open to the public, including the Shiloh Bakery and General Store. They are closed on Sunday and Monday.
To the northeast, about 45 minutes away, is Stone Mountain. Absolutely fantastic hiking, it is also an old homestead that has been renovated and is open to the public.
To the south, there is Rocky Face Park, where there is hiking and rock climbing. Nearby, is Emerald Hollow Mine, where you can go and find, and keep, precious stones you find in the nearby river. There is also a great disk course course, Highland Hills Disc Golf Course, one of the top 25 in the country. There is fun for all ages.
Merlefest, (the last weekend in April), a world class Bluegrass festival, is located right in our town.
Be sure to look at the activities section below for additional information.
ARRIVAL TIME - Because of the steep hillside, dense underbrush, and the dense darkness of the woods at night, is difficult to get into the site after dark. Please come before the sun sets. Please bring flashlights!!

FYI, if you want more than 3 campers, PLEASE ASK ME. There is room on the trillium to sleep, the lower level of the treetent for an 3 additional campers. There is also a shelter with mosquito netting where a tent could be staked. Please see photos. Please feel free to reach out to me if you want to increase the number of people staying in your group.

Suspended Sanctuary is amazing. Sleeping on the trillium is super comfortable, and the space is sacred. Quiet, beautiful, secluded without prohibitive travel. Elizabeth is inviting and warm without intrusion. My daughter and I had a fabulous overnight, and we are already checking our calendars for our next visit. (PS-it truly is stocked with all anyone could need. Bring something to cuddle into at night, something to eat, and then, just relax with everything that else that is provided).
This place was INCREDIBLE! Gorgeous property set up absolutely perfect with the cutest touches. Everything you could ever need to have the most special tree camping time
We loved the tree tent! It was so nice having everything set up and all the things we needed for cooking available. We loved all the little touches- fairy garden, solar lights, bridge & slack line. We will definitely be back!
This was my second time visiting. I brought my 9 year old son. He had a BLAST!!!!! The host is fantastic and helpful and very helpful to accommodate any needs. I will be booking my trips to the area here.
The tree tent was an awesome experience! Elizabeth and her husband were more than accommodating and made sure anything we needed minus sleeping bags, food, and wood was provided.
Other interesting camp sites here that we look forward to returning and checking out, along with the goats!

Great Host! Primitive, but very cozy. Great place to get away and relax. Would absolutely recommend. Also, check out the suspended tent by the same host!
This was our second time staying at Elizabeth's amazing tree tent. We had so much fun and love all of the additions she's made since the last time - especially the slack line and water station. Will definitely be visiting again!
The tree tent was a lot of fun! The campsite is outfitted with all the things you might need too, such a bonus! The location is private and remote enough to really get a great experience without feeling like you are off the grid, which was the perfect combo especially for a camping novice like me! We brought our 2 kids, ages 6 and 7 and they LOVED it! They could explore all of the trails and woods without worry. The tree tent is, as described, set up for 3 people, but we made it work just fine for the 4 of us. I would bring a regular tent next time and switch off nights for 2 in the tree tent and 2 in the regular tent. All in all it was truly wonderful! Highly recommend staying with Elizabeth!! We will be back!!

Yay! I'm so glad it was a good experience for your family. I do look forward to your return. Thank you for taking the time to write such a nice review.
