We camped in our RV. We were at the maximum length limit so naturally it was a bit more complicated to get down the drive but we managed fine. The site is private and when we were there it wasn’t completely full. We showed up after some rain so bugs were a bit intense but leveled out after a day of sunshine. It’s a marsh type area and truly picturesque. We loved it, our dogs loved it, would return when bugs are less active.

The site was very beautiful and naturalistic being on the water just off the sound. No matter where you looked you saw water and wildlife. We loved the little crabs, dragonflies and herons we saw everyday. However, the fact that the campsite is right on the water the water is very stagnant and therefore has mosquitoes like I have never seen in my life. We could not be outside the camper for more than a few minutes before we would get chased back inside. Even using bug spray these mosquitos didn’t seem to care. A few minutes outside resulted in over one dozen bites. The listing is also misleading in saying that campfires are allowed and then showing a picture of a very nice fire pit only to find the fire pit is out on the point in a community area shared by all 5 campsites well away from the campsites. The first morning we were there while exploring the grounds we also noticed more trash than I would expect to see. On three different occasions there were vehicles that either drove in and turned around or random people walking a dog threw the campsite, and one evening we returned at dark to find a truck with a person using a flashlight in the community area when we were the only campers in the campsite. That was a little unnerving when we thought we were the only people there. Amanda was quick to respond while we were booking but never checked on us while there. We also had to ask about the dump station listed in the description that Amanda states is nearby.
