thom’s spot saved our christmas:) my partner and i were visiting family in barnardsville and hendersonville and the location of this spot was in the absolute perfect place to feel secluded and cozy while also having quick and easy access to the interstate day to day. the spot is right on a road but we only saw a very small handful of cars pass through during our stay, you could almost forget the road is there. we absolutely loved waking up to the sound of the creek flowing right by us.
as for the wifi, we didn’t have to do anything special on our end - it worked beautifully and i even had an hour and a half long zoom call with no problems.
one of the nights we ended up staying with friends longer than expected and i reached out to thom to see if he could graciously check on our things to make sure everything looked okay, which he did, giving us total peace of mind.
as much as we come back home to visit in our camper, we’re overjoyed to have found this place to come back to during our stays. we had the chance to meet thom as we were headed out and felt great about not only finding a great spot but getting to work with such a rad host that made us feel safe and cared for.
Camping near a creek
The sound of the babbling creek was perfect! Easy to find and the instructions were clear. The site is quiet and peaceful with great WiFi. We will definitely go here again.
We had such a relaxing stay at Reems Creek Retreat! The stream provided a fantastic sound --- and --- view. Everything was wonderful --- and --- we could not recommend it more for a place to rest and relax. Our host, Thom, was super helpful, too!
Don’t think twice, book it!
Reems Creek Retreat exceeded all expectations! The site was huge. We drive a 40’ RV plus tow car and and we didn’t even fill half the site. The creek is so beautiful and sounds so peaceful. We ended up unhooking our car in Thom’s driveway (across the street) to make the turn in. We should’ve taken the first driveway, as it’s a pull through, but didn’t realize it at first. The upper part of the drive is pretty level, but does require a little leveling. If you park further down, it’s a slope. Thom so very graciously provides 50amp hook up and wifi! My husband works from home and when I check in with Thom before booking, he went to the site to check how connectivity for us. That was above and beyond. We have Verizon and it was hit or miss depending where you stood, but worked well enough for what we needed. Thom came to make sure we were all set and offered suggestions for the area. We traveled the Blue Ridge Parkway, hiked around Craggy Rock and visited the studio walk in Asheville. We enjoyed the Wag Bar in Weaverville, which is a dog park bar. But more than anything we wanted to spend time at this site! We had a fire with some wood that was provided, let the dogs explore the creek and took in the views. Highly recommend! We are all so lucky that Thom is willing to share his slice of heaven.
The area was beautiful, right on the creek.Thom had firewood in a wood shelter for us, although we didnt get to use it as it rained the 2days we were there. We had a pop-up and it wasn't pouring rain, we stayed dry except for walking the dogs and checking out the creek! It was a great time and place! Check it out!
Enjoyed it so much that we had to r
This was our second time staying at Thom's spot by Reem Creek. We love it. So close to the Blue Ridge parkway so lots of hiking options. We love building a fire and listening to the creek babble. So relaxing!
Great quiet private location with Electric and wifi. Close to Blue Ridge pwky and lots of hiking. Thom is quick to respond to question. Large pull through site. Having longer electrical. Hook up and leveling blocks for larger rigs.
