This is such a lovely place and exactly what I imagined a Hipcamp spot to be. A little parcel of land by a rushing mountain stream, a place for our dogs to run in the water, AND electrical hookup! The host even provided an adapter for our 30amp to their provided 50amp service.
The fire pit was large and nicely built and there was a huge amount of wood left for us to build a fire. Thom was kind enough to answer my questions about hiking and recommended several nearby trails. Even though is poured rain on one day of our trip, my children both said it was their favorite place we’ve camped. If you’re trying to avoid the typical RV park, this is the place. It’s by a road but cars are infrequent. The sound of the creek drowns out any cars passing by anyway! Thanks for a great stay 💜

Thank you. This is most generous of you. I repeat, this is a place we like to share with people of similar mind. Since your departure I have built and placed a sheltered cover for the firewood. We hope you folks will think about a return visit. Keeping the puppies out of the creek is nearly a full-time job. All the more so when it gets warm. Thank you for treating this like it was yours. That's the best.

A lovely spot to stay! We really enjoyed having such a beautiful view all to ourselves in a really peaceful environment. It was nice to let the dogs run in the creek and have an adventure of their own. Plus, there are tons of trails within a short driving distance. Thom was a great host. He was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. You can tell he put a lot of effort in making the area nice and also in keeping it up. We would definitely come back again.

There are two trees perfect for a hammock if you have one. It has a really nice view of the creek.Lots of pretty little flowers and foliage to discover. The site was clearly marked and easy to pull through with our camper. GPS directions got us right there. It is really quiet at night. There aren't any bright street lights or city lights.

We loved this gorgeous campsite! Easy to find, and a very convenient pull through site. There is a well maintained parking area with fire pit and the river is a lovely backdrop. We appreciated the availability of wifi, too. Thom was great at communicating, too. Would definitely return!

Coming from the Estes Park, CO, we were absolutely stunned with the beauty, green and serenity of Thom’s hipcamp site. The creek was soothing and drowned out any noise from an occasional car down Blackberry Inn Rd. The camping site is big! We had so many options to park our 27’ class c rv. We took a few walks a couple miles from camp and there are beautiful old homesteads mixed in with animal farms, nurseries and lovely homes. We stayed for 10 nights, and honestly, could of done it another couple weeks. It was our base camp for checking out all the quaint towns, flea markets, antique shops and music scene for a 75 miles radius! Thank you Thom! You are a wonderful, accommodating host. We will be back.
