Mash barrel, behind barn.
Poor communication
Lack of communication. No instructions as promised. Full refund promised by Dwight. Waiting to see if that happens

Mash barrel, behind barn.
Quaint, out of the way spot. Relatively quiet. Enough level space for two 2-3 person tents.

Well, I want to be fair. The price is good and it is high up in the mountains. However, the host often appears to forget that guests are coming. The first day, I waited for 20 minutes, but the second day, I waited for a full hour. There was a pickup blocking the entrance and I had no idea what was going on. Eventually I left to find another place. If you don't mind waiting around for the host to show up, it's a nice place.

Pretty Forest at Your Doorstep
We had a wonderful five night stay at Ole Craggy Moonshiners in our 14 foot camper. Dwight met us and made sure we had everything we needed, and then he gave us complete privacy. There is a flat gravel spot for a camper beside the barn with water and 20 amp power (plenty for us). Right beside the parking spot is a beautiful forest with rhododendron and pine trees so you feel like you are camping in the woods. The location is perfect for exploring Linville, Linville Falls, Grandfather Mountain, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We would definitely stay here again when in the area.

Camping with teenagers
We absolutely loved this area. It was a nice clean site with water and power hook ups for our 24’ pop up camper. The hiking trails were perfect for the kids and it was very private and quite the whole time. It was close enough to town to enjoy the day out hiking or sightseeing. We did the Willy worm festival in blowing rock and look forward to the spring season.

Stayed here in a small teardrop trailer. Dwight was friendly and made sure we got all set up. It felt very private and safe. We left our trailer there while we went on a few hikes and checking out the surrounding towns. We plan to come back to that area to see everything we couldn’t fit into this trip and will definitely stay at Dwight’s again!
