Nero Coffee is a local coffee brand based in the mountains on Western North Carolina, so when you camp at Nero Coffee + Camp you can enjoy a great cup of coffee (free coffee in my "coffee shed" on property!) and enjoy a relaxing spot in the mountains.

Nero Coffee's mission is to create connection between people through conversations over shared coffee outdoors. I started Nero Coffee in 2019, and I just purchased this 6 acres near DuPont State Forest to share my land and create my own coffee campground to continue growing the mission. Nero Coffee + Camp is just in its beginning stages but I am continually making improvements and open to feedback and ideas! Coffee, Hiking, and Camping - Is there anything better?

When you arrive you can set up camp any where along the driveway. There are no designated sites so feel free to claim your spot. My favorite is to the right of the creek where you can hear the water babbling.

Once you set up camp feel free to visit the Coffee Shed - It's a small shed on the property by the house that has everything you need to make a great cup of coffee. Coffee is always free.  :)

My campsites are a few miles to anywhere to get food so I have a small selection of snacks and breakfast items available for purchase there as well.

I have fire pits, plenty of firewood, tables and a super cute corgi that roams around the property throughout the day. If I'm home and you spot me outside feel free to say hi or ask any questions about the area. I love helping guests find new places to explore.

You will be about 5 minutes to DuPont State Forest (my favorite hiking and biking area) which has miles and miles of hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding trails. The entrance to Pisgah National Forest is about 15 minutes away as well so it's a convenient drive to visit the forest and drive up to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

I also guide "coffee hikes" to local waterfalls in DuPont State forest. You can find more about that in the photo descriptions.

Please note! My road up to my driveway is steep and bumpy. It’s only 0.3 miles up but bumpy. You dont need four wheel drive (I come up and down in my 4 cylinder rav4 everyday) but if you have a small car just go slow.

This campsite was so cute and well planned! There was another group but they were super friendly and there was still plenty of privacy. There is a porta potty and the coffee shed was excellent. We didn’t get to say hi to the adorable corgi Hootie but he did greet us by sniffing the tent in the morning! Would absolutely come stay here again. Also the coffee is delicious :)

Katlyn has a great little camp setup near her home. There were others there as well and everyone was super friendly! We had a very nice relaxing night and delicious coffee in the morning as we were packing up :)

We were greeted by our lovely hosts Katelyn and Hootie (a charming little corgi). We loved the accommodation of the coffee shed as it was a welcomed respite from the thunderstorm. Our stay was quite off the grid - don’t expect cellphone service. There is a very clean port-a-potty with the option of a *rustic* shower. Would recommend this spot!

This space was amazing, very comfortable and spacious. The host was amazing, and very friendly. My group came with our dogs and while they were noisy, she was very understanding. Thank you so much!

Katlyn’s place is great, I really appreciated the instant booking process. With no luck finding any free campsites near Dupont, I made my reservation and showed up 15 minutes later. The property was conveniently located and was quite peaceful. Katlyn and Hootie were very hospitable and the coffee was great. I’ll definitely stay here again next time I’m in this beautiful area.

Nice camping spot! Kaitlyn was awesome. Super responsive and gracious with our late arrival. That climb uphill in the car is a doozy but worth it! :)
