OK, so it's really more like Glamping.  All you really need is any additional sleeping bags, personal items, food and wood ( we can supply the latter at mountain prices).  We have tried to make this as easy and low stress as possible.

Explore the innumerable trails and waterfalls of the Smokies; fish in the Lake or numerous rivers and streams; swim in the Lake and at the sand beach down the road; rent a pontoon boat; travel the Blue Ridge Parkway; enjoy the shopping and restaurants of nearby Cashiers and Highlands.  Or just chill out.  Hang with our chickens.    This is truly a unique camping experience I built for my Class C RV and continue to improve, far from the madding crowd.  Smoky Mountain High is in a gated "subdivision" that has 60 lots but only 8 houses - the rest is woods and the only place in your vicinity is my cabin.

Please follow the rules.  MAXIMUM SIX CAMPERS TO AVOID UNDUE STRESS ON THE LAND!   NO PITS ALLOWED!  THE NEIGHBORS HAVE WILDLIFE CAMERAS AND YOU DON'T WANT TO BE ON THEM IN A COMPROMISING POSITION ( it has happened)  AND EARN ME NASTY EMAILS SO PLEASE DON'T TRESPASS.

ALSO AVAILABLE - GLENVILLE HIGH TREEHOUSE (4000') ( Nominated for best Hipcamp Treehouse 2022), across the driveway.

This is def. a sweet spot. Not too far from downtown Cashiers and access to the lake. The tent is super spacious and nice and the view with outlook is amazing. Fire pit was awesome and Peter had all cooking tools available. Highly recommended!

Peter and Margaret were amazing host! Their spot on top of the mountain is the best views in the area. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back soon.

Nothing compares to the views or the peace and quiet found at Peter's spot! He is super kind and very helpful if needed throughout the stay. The designated tent area is a bit closer to his home than anticipated, but he gave us our full privacy the entire time! The tent shower was awesome and the sunrise was worth getting up at 5:55 to witness! Also, he has the quietest, most well behaved chickens of all time. Would definitely stay again!

We absolutely loved this campsite! The views are to die for. Both sunrise and sunset were spectacular, and our morning coffee from the overlook was an incredible way to start the day. We liked the view so much that we spent hours up on the mountain and didn’t ever venture down to the lake!

We took the first suggestion in Peter’s binder of hikes/waterfalls and did the short but steep hike to High Falls… absolutely worth it and highly recommended.

It’s worth noting that the provided grill is a small tabletop style… 100% did the job for the 2 of us, no complaints here, but worth noting if you’re planning on cooking for a bigger group.

I was definitely glad for the luggable loo and privacy tent! The solar lights lining the site and steps were also very much appreciated by my clumsy self!

Peter was away but checked in on us via text to make sure everything was good… and it was!

Highly recommend to anyone

Peter’s spot is the perfect getaway! There’s so much room around the campsite and we didn’t run into a single person our entire stay. The look-out spot with gas fireplace, the fenced in camping area, the giant fire pit - it is all so thoughtfully put together! All with an amazing view! We will definitely be back!

Fantastic place. Great fit for our 19 foot travel trailer. You will just need to plan out your grey and black water tanks since there is no sewage hookup. No biggie.
Great views, secluded and quiet, with a great host. We hope to be back.
