Our night at Mountain Riders Riverfront Camping was a pleasant evening by the river. Our friendly hosts, Rosie and Ed, and their canine compatriot, Rambo, warmly welcomed my husband and I shortly after our arrival. They ensured we had everything we needed for our stay, and when a rain shower came a bit later in the afternoon, even offered us refuge under an awning in the nearby RV area.
During our short stay at Mountain Riders Riverfront Camping, we tented by the edge of the riverbank. The camping plot was well-maintained with a fire ring, outdoor charcoal grill, and a simple toilet facility.
Our favorite part of the our stay at Mountain Riders Riverfront Camping was the sunset. The campground is nestled in a valley, so the shadows and sorbet color palette of the descending sun marked the end of the day in surreal, panoramic brilliance. Shortly after, the river’s
undulating murmur peacefully lulled us to sleep.
The next morning, after having had a quiet night’s sleep, my husband and I were ready to break down camp, and get back on the road.
Thank you for sharing your Hipcamp with us, Ed and Rosie. My husband and I appreciate your hospitality.

This place was awesome. We stayed at a primitive site and a full hookup site. Both were right on the river. The fishing was way better than expected, we caught some very nice trout. Ed and his team were very helpful and accommodating. Quiet, close to town, beautiful views.
We had a great weekend at Ed’s! It was my wife, our dog and I in site 9, and some very friendly folks staying next to us in sites 8 and 7. We got in late after dark and had a bit of trouble navigating to the site once we were on property. It’s a big field with tall grass and a couple car tracks running through. We got to our spot with the help of our friendly neighbors and settled in. In the light of the morning it was clear that Ed had cut some of the grass around the campsites, which helped a little with the morning wetness. The creek running by the campsite was the highlight for me, providing great scenery, lovely sounds, and I even got lucky to catch a little brook trout steps from our camper door.
Ed was available to answer our questions by phone/text and we got to see him on the property Saturday, very nice guy.
It’s truly primitive camping with no frills (and no toilet as the port-a-John had been unexpectedly removed the day of our arrival), but it was easy to get to, close to a ton of great spots like the Nantahala, and a fantastic place to relax and enjoy the incoming fall weather.
Second time, stayed at #9 right on the river. Very nice private spot!

our stay at ed’s place was wonderful! we loved the beautiful 360 degree view of the mountains and being right on the cool refreshing creek! our dogs had an amazing time running in the field and swimming also. great trails for hiking nearby and the stars at night were really nice too. ed was super communicative and really helpful with tips and advice. cant wait to come back asap!
We loved our stay here! We boondocked with our travel trailer and generator. Great open field with a few different open campsites setup with firepits. Ed was great - really communicative and helpful. We got caught with some bad weather (flood warnings the week of/prior), so it was a bit wet in certain areas, but it dried up quickly! Ed also shared this with us the day prior to us coming and made suggestions/options until in dried up. The area is a great location right by a creek and beautiful mountain and sunrise/sunset views. Would definitely recommend!

A beautiful place to camp! We would definitely return!
