Pitch your tent under the pole barn! This is campsite # 2 on my 187-acre horse farm which sits directly under Hickory Nut Mountain. This site is on a small hill across from the main horse pasture and barn. If the ground is dry you are welcome to park your vehicle beside the pole barn. Otherwise, park your on the gravel pad a 90 second walk away. No other campsite is visible. This site is very flat with a wide pole barn in the back. There’s a picnic table underneath a delightful, huge poplar tree and a fire pit with a cooking grate. There is a flushable camping toilet in a privacy tent under the pole barn. Overhead is wide-open sky for exceptional stargazing. The horses are fed twice a day. You can quietly observe them galloping across the field, or you can come help! You have access to miles of hiking trails and can walk in the three hayfields and take in the mountain scenery. Deer frequent the fields at dawn and dusk-you can see them gracefully jumping the fences. Wild turkeys are common. Fireflies dance in the meadows at dark. Breathe in the tranquility of this pastoral setting.

Michele's farm is absolutely beautiful and clean! We spent 3 nights under the pole barn and had a lovely time watching the horses, seeing the stars, and roasting food over the fire.
The hayride gave us some lovely angles of the mountain and surrounding fields.
Michele herself is also very friendly and communicative! A true joy to schedule with. We will definitely come back!

Michele was incredibly helpful regarding directions and check in. The property was well kept and she provided all the amenities as described. She created an information packet that had everything campers would need to know while on the property. The camping toilets were spotless as was the site. We were able to feed the horses (with her instruction) and enjoyed a nice getaway. There are short hiking trails on the property and a stream trail to a small waterfall. Highly Recommend this location.

Starlit Sky and Majestic HorsesIt was very nice to have chairs and a firepit on site. This saved us some additional gear to pack and unpack.Plenty of room for a rooftop tent setup.Miller keeping watch over the horses in the pasture.

Michele was wonderful. Had a beautiful, relaxing weekend at campsite #2. The horses were a great addition to watch and pet, and my son really enjoyed the grooming upgrade. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect! Setting was spectacular! The views, the fireflies, the beautiful giant horse, all were exactly what we needed for a couple worn out travelers. Michele has thought through so many details to make the space even more beautiful and welcoming. From flowers to fresh cut grass, lanterns, toilet, tree swing and a sweet hospitality. Highly recommend! She’s clearly determined to make her place a top Hipcamp destination. 👍

Michele’s land is a little slice of heaven! Upon arriving, we were greeted at the fence by two of her horses who were eager to say hello. Michele was soon to follow ~ she gave a tour of the property and was happy to answer questions about the horses and her land. She made sure we had everything we could need for our stay. The view of campsite #2 where we stayed was overlooking the wide open horse pasture that was backed by distant mountains. Even the drive to get there was on a quiet country road and was lovely. There was essentially no light pollution and when the clouds cleared you could see the sky full of stars. Michele was a gracious host and I would definitely recommend staying here.

Shower + toilet at campsite #1Both sites had fire pits with grates for cooking ~ they were very clean, and firewood was even provided!Koda in front of campsite #2The welcoming view when you first approach Michele's campsites
