We have a working animal sanctuary with nearly 50 animals: dogs, cats, pigs, goats, chickens, turkeys and bunnies. We have a firepit, picnic tables (2, first come first serve), a pool, and we'll be adding a compostable toilet soon! You'll have plenty of places to camp and you can set up anywhere you like! The land is mostly flat and cleared but surrounded by woods. We are right around the corner from the Carl Sandburg National Historic Site and very close to awesome waterfall hikes like Big Bradley and Little Bradley in Saluda, and DuPont State Forest in Brevard. We are located less than three miles from downtown Hendersonville where there are plenty of bars, breweries, restaurants and shops (it's an awesome town).

My family and I had a great and relaxing time on lovely Lisa's property. We had the chance to meet all the animals in the barn while learning a lot of important information from the caregivers couple. We highly recommend this place full of love and compassion for life.

I visited this campsite alone with my 5yo son and felt completely safe and well taken care of! It wasn’t a very private setup, but we liked having other people around. Great grounds for setting up tents and a fire pit. My son and I loved the pool! Super close to town where we could run to the store for forgotten items. My son said “I want to come back here and stay for 100 weeks!”

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at Sweet Bear Rescue Farm! Lisa was a wonderful and kind host. She was very responsive to texts and was accommodating. Would recommend to campers who want to be close to Pisgah State Park and Brevard!

It was great. Host is wonderful and my son enjoyed the animals and the pool. Lots of flat ground for tent camping. Porta potty on site. Close to town. A little road noise due to close traffic but being able to run into town was great and her property was surrounded by woods and clean. Big open field area where we could play football and let my son run around. Lots of animals which my son loves from other guests. Overall a nice quick little get away. We will be back next year!

This was such a perfect spot for our back-to-school camping celebration!! The kids spent many hours in the pool, as anticipated. They found the animals delightful, especially Nelson who kept gobbling about wanting to be in the pool with them. Such a lovely setting....peaceful yet minutes from town.

We needed a place to stay very last minute and found this place, booked it, and arrived about 10 minutes later! Lisa was responsive immediately, very welcoming, and let us know everything we needed to know upon arrival.

Was an awesome spot to camp for the night! Gorgeous views of not only her beautiful farmhouse but luscious green fields, gorgeous trees and lighting! Campfire pits were all set up and ready to go as well!

Our favorite part though was having the opportunity to help her feed the rescue animals in the morning. What a great experience! She has such a big heart and has a loving and safe home for all of her animals there!

Highly recommend camping there if you are in that area!

Gorgeous evening and views!Campfire set up….and Wilson (who was already there) made an appearance (see white chair)! LolOur campsite for the eveningWe added some of our own lights too
