Kimberly’s place is safe and in a great location. Easy drive to the parkway and very walkable to Burnsville town square. We’re sorry we missed the Saturday farmers market on the square but we did take our dog on a walk to the Appalachian Java and Cafe. Good strong coffee.

Great location in a charmimg town. The two cute dogs purveying the yard was a plus and broke up the monotony of working from my van.

Friendly and welcoming hosts. Nice location close to old downtown. walk to local coffee shop in the morning! Electrical hook up was great to have especially at such a reasonable price, and also refilled my water container. Thank you Kimberly!

I enjoyed my stay here! Kimberly’s husband Randall greeted me and answered my questions, we chatted a bit about the area and then he offered to pull out a portable fire pit that could be closer to my van than the other fire pit. The house is in a residential neighborhood as the listing says, and you park next to their van in the driveway which is right off the residential street. They have a large grass lawn next to the house. You definitely are right in the middle of a neighborhood and the neighbors houses look right down on where you’ll be but most aren’t super close. Randall was really friendly and I felt welcomed. I was invited to use wood from their pile - sure that’s always the case - but glad I had the option as I had a nice little fire by my van before bed. I would stay here again, it is one of the only options anywhere near Asheville so it was just what I needed for a safe welcoming spot to stay in my camper van for the night.

Hosts were fantastic, and the site was as described. I stayed here to be able to hit the Black Mountain Creat trail early in the morning. There is also a new brewery 1.5 blocks from the site, and walkable to Main Street (coffee shop, restaurant, several local boutiques).
