This was a nice little spot to camp with my son for a night. We didn’t plan on doing anything except ham-mocking with our books and cooking on a fire. It was a success!

Not every site there is created equal. And there are some with long term RVs parked on them. The occupants weren’t there so we had no issues with generator noise. The site we chose was perfect with a nice view of the mountains through the trees.

Kim’s place is in a good location along the Blue Ridge Pkwy and close to Stone Mtn state park. Great location. Mountain View. Showers and bathroom. Good price.

I had a great time at this spot. It is very quiet, the bathroom was clean and rather secluded. There is a road nearby but rarely had cars passing by. Overall good.

Simple campground with the bonus of hot water and a wood to start a fire. 20 minutes from Stone Mountain.

The actual location is up from the marked (house) street address given - after you pass the house address go up the road til you see 3 orange cones on the left & see a sign "Shady Rest" & an antique general store.
The campground is very dated, trash at a site out in the open, dilapidated campers & activity center area. Patched plastic roof bathroom (able to use) but needed a scrub (mice poop everywhere & leaves on the floor) and no water @ all Sunday. This was a serious fire hazard when having campfires!
Not as quiet as anticipated - Campground is in between 2 roads. Fortunately the traffic was light but it was noticeable.
Was told it was being fixed up. I wouldn't return until everything is done & looking better.
