Its only 80 ft wide but almost a mile deep .This is how it all started there was a hippie fest going on in town and it was posted on social media . Someone posted they were looking for a place to camp but they didnt have camping at the fairgrounds where the event was . So I messaged this person and said I have a big yard maybe they could camp here but I have no facilities water toilet etc. We spoke and the gentleman said he would like to do that him and his group . I have never done anything like this they paid me to stay ,but before I knew it I had 32 people coming here 2 pop up campers a 30 ft pull behind and 12 tents WOW . So of course I had to get the porta toilet thats how it ended up down there . The weather was threatening us so some people cancelled but in all we ended up with 16 people here it was a fun time for all . Thats when I decided to join hipcamp now we are on our hipcamp journey . My fiance Henry built a shelter and a rain barrel water isnt drinkable , as time goes on we will be cleaning out more of the land for more camp sites . Now to continue the story we have added a 30 ft Coleman lantern trailer camper ,brand new 2021 It sleeps 5 comfortably . Maybe 1 or 2 more like if a couple sleep together It has a fireplace and stereo in it and a full kitchen . .Look at our pictures . Thanks for reading our story . Hope y'all come visit .

Great time camping here!
This was a very nice camping spot right off hwy 85 30 minutes north of Charlotte. After exploring the city all day it was nice to have a quiet safe place to go back to. Easy to find too. The camping area is clean and shaded with a shelter and picnic table, outhouse, and fire pit. Judy was a great host, came out to greet us when we arrived and asked if we needed anything. They even put fresh wild flowers on the table.
Judy's crash-pad was just what we needed peaceful, relaxing and secluded with plenty of games to keep us busy. there was Hammocks and swings to relax after an eventful Day i recommend bringing your friends and to also check out the antique shop on the property.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Crashpad 1620. Judi was very responsive to any questions we had and even had the campfire prepped for us when we got there. I appreciate that Judi has limited the # of groups allowed to stay per session due to COVID. Highly recommend this campsite.
Awesome camp site! It’s in a backyard but far away from the house so you get all the privacy that you want. Great amenities that made the stay that much more enjoyable. The hospitality from the hosts was phenomenal. Our kids loved the open space to play in and all the “art exhibits” scattered throughout the site.
Great spot close to charlotte
Crashpad 1620 is a great spot! My husband and I were the only campers there, so it was incredibly private. Judi was quick to respond to any questions. The firepit was huge, and covered picnic table was great. The decor was creative and funny. There are 5 sites available, so if anyone else was there it might feel crowded. WAY better than a standard campground.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Crashpad 1620!!! We were greeted with beautiful flowers and fresh eggs. The property was very well kept and felt very private. We had a pop-up camper and a large tent and we had plenty of space to spread out. We loved the shelter with the picnic table and the outside sink came in very handy. The town of Salisbury is very sweet and Judi gave us tons of recommendations for things to do nearby. We would love to camp at this property again!!!! It’s a fabulous place to bring a group of friends.
