Beautiful spot on Elk Creek! We had a blast floating in the creek on tubes that Diane and Gary provided for us. Also a great deep swimming hole. Hosts we're SOOO welcoming and friendly. Our dog had a blast swimming and playing with Booger. We'll definitely be back.

This was such a great trip! Garry & Diane are more than accommodating and have such a magical piece of land that they have worked on over the years!

We arrived late on Friday night so they left the Christmas lights on the shelter on for us so we knew exactly where to go. The new shelter was really great for pitching our tents so that we didn’t have to worry about rain when we were out and about in town during the day.

Every morning we swam and tubed in the creek that runs through their property. We originally on planned on one night but booked the second because we enjoyed it so much.

Thank you guys for a lovely stay and we can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful property. Gracious hosts (sorry we couldnt figure out how to dim SUV lights). Great cattle dog companion for my pup. Awesome swimming hole in fresh water with minnows. 5 stars!!

During our short stay at Joyville Camping on Elk Creek, my husband and I enjoyed the natural beauty of a stream-side Hipcamp, and quality interaction with friendly people.

Our accommodating host, Diane, kept in great contact with us before arriving, and was very helpful throughout our time here. Both Diane and her husband, Garry, were exceptionally kind people, and getting to know them was part of what made this visit so pleasant.

The property itself was very well-maintained, and offered opportunities for many outdoor actvities; there were trails for walking and biking, a beautiful stream with a deep swimming hole, a pavilion for relaxing, and much more. There were also many unique structures on the property, including a hand-built geodesic dome.

The location of Joyville Camping on Elk Creek is ideal due to its close proximity to both Boone and West Jefferson. My husband and I liked how we were able able to quickly access and explore both towns from this Hipcamp.

Garry and Diane are thoughtful hosts. They are quite intentional in helping us settling, and navigate getting our travel trailer across the ford. The place is amazing with the focus being the perfect large creek with gentle rapids and a refreshing swimming hole. (The kids actually tubbed through the rapids down to the swimming hole!!). The creek is the best white noise for sleeping. Extremely relaxing spot.

Beautiful campsite on a trout stream. We had a great time taking our kids camping for the first time. The hosts were so accommodating to all our needs. The kids had a blast playing int the stream. I would recommend this place to anyone. Also an extremely clean porta-Jon made it much easier with the kids. Can’t wait to go back again.

I don’t know what to say! One of the. Beautiful sites I’ve ever seen. The river was lovely we fished and swam. Wonderful hiking. The hosts were the kindest and most generous folks! I loved it, my kids didn’t want to leave! We will be back for sure!
