Perfect stream and well maintained
Fantastic place to stay when near Andrews NC. Property is VERY well maintained and laid out. Clean portapoty on site as well as a trashcan, and the host had even mowed paths to the portapoty for an easy walk up. Each camp site is clearly marked, and right on the river! The host was perfect in his communication, ensuring we could find our spot and that we had everything we needed. He was clear in his communication and very welcoming. There are picknick tables and our site even had a grill on it. The stream varied in depth, from a few inches to about 10 inches at some spots. Perfect for sitting in and letting the world wash by. Staying here you get a mutli-act show. Act 1, when we first arrived, we set up watching the river and the sun set. Act 2, when the sun had gone down, we turned out chairs around and enjoyed fireflies all across the field! They were incredibly abundant, looking like fireworks and they slowly made their way lighting up the hill. Act 3, the stars! Beautiful beautiful beautiful abundant stars. We did get a shooting star! Act 4, enjoyed our fire until the early hours. There is a road near by, but the infrequent traffic never bothered us. Plus, once in our tent, the river seemed to drown out any sounds except the rush of water. In the morning, we could hear a very faint rooster welcoming the new day. We will definitely be back. Frankly, I am not sure why anyone would stay at any place else if in the area. The location is ideal and camping area perfect. The site can be accessed by any vehicle, even a Fred Flintstone type car can make it. We were traveling in a full sized 4x4 truck with a roof top tent and had no problems positioning our vehicle on a level spot.
A beautiful camp spot close to Andrews NC! Ed was helpful at directing us to set up. My son and I enjoyed playing in the creek, making a campfire and the fireflies were unbelievable! I Will defiantly request to book again!
Great campsite along a tranquil Valley River. Easy access to AM coffee at a Hardee’s near by and you can shoot right down to the NOC to paddle the Nantahala.
Site has a port o let which was completely clean. There was even a little grill to welcome us to the site. They are spacious.
Recommend sites 8 and 9.
Site is awesome.
Beautiful creek. Awesome meadow. Fireflies were incredible.
Downside for our specific trip, was that somehow hipcamp allowed the site to double book. It created confusion and some awkwardness with another camping group.
