We enjoyed Camp Tuck! The view is gorgeous. It felt like I was in a National Park. So much wildlife we observed. The dogs loved it too as it was a big space. We will come back to Rob' site when we visit WNC. Unforgettable experience.

Had a BLISSFUL stay at this magical place. Our host gave perfect directions in advance and responded immediately to each of our texts. We had no trouble at all navigating the entrance and exit to the campsite in our Class B+, 25 foot Airstream Atlas. As if the amenities weren’t enough (level, clean, spacious area with fire pit, picnic table, water, power, and septic—woohoo!), the privacy and beauty of the site simply blew us away! We delighted in the soothing sound of the river flowing over the rapids; the flight of geese and bald eagles overhead; and the charming chug, chug, and whistle blow of the observation train on the opposite riverbank. Should you find the chance, book your visit without hesitation—Camp Tuck surely will center your soul!
Very beautiful, and peaceful, and we saw the train pass a few times but otherwise no other action across the river. Close enough to go on day trip around the area and have a private place to come back to. This was a great site with electric/water hookup. It is a ‘leave no trace ‘ style camp site which was perfect for our weekend. We had four persons and 2 small dogs. The little walk down to the river is a bit steep but not dangerous, just watch your step. The bench over looking the river is well placed. 10out of 10 , we are lucky we found it!

We had an amazing 4 days 3 nights at Camp Tuck! The host sent lots of helpful information about the site. We got there in the dark and the entrance felt like we were going to fall off the cliff. It is an illusion! The land is very private. We enjoy the time on the river and camp fire. Food lion is only 10 min away for a quick run if you forget something. Highly recommended!
Very quiet and secluded. Only sounds are the river and occasional geese. Wonderful to have full hookup in such a secluded place. Nice steps and handrails down to the river.
This is a very peaceful spot.
The Tuck river at this section is broad with some rapids which are very soothing to listen too.
I was with my 85 year old dad so no water sports 😅
The hookups worked well and the site is fairly level.
I had good cellphone reception so i was easily able to share our experience with family.
The walkway down to the river is sturdy and the bench 2/3 down is a great place to view and relax.
We did not explore surrounding area due to our limited time and i would highly recommend at least 3 nights to enjoy the peacefulness for two full days
Rob’s instructions are good and i was able to get in and out with a little care. My only little anxious moment was crossing over the road to enter as i wasn’t sure about oncoming traffic.
Overall highly recommend as a beautiful natural spot.

Had rain. Lots of rain. Site is high so didn’t worry about flooding. Enjoyed watching the river rise from a safe location Very peaceful and relaxing. Great set up with super large level gravel area, picnic table, fire ring, steps leading to river edge. Full hookups (50/30/20, water, dump station) in great condition. Driveway well marked and plenty of detailed information of how to enter and exit slightly steep driveway. This is our fav and we will be back. Thanks Rob
Camp Tuck was a great place to stay. Very peaceful and we had the whole place to our selves.
