Beautiful views. The 3 prepared sites are simple gravel pads. Drainage was very good, dry to walk on even after big thunderstorms. We had a large colman rent and a small backpacking tent and still had room for the car. We used rocks from a nearby area to build a small fire pit. Owners were very nice and even brought us a couple of Innovation Brewing beers!
We were visiting our daughter who is a student at WCU. This was they closest we have ever been able to stay. About 3-5 minutes from the Ingles in Sylva!
Land looks beautiful and owners stated that there are plans to create trails and more. I hope that is the case, it would be wonderful!
Feels rural despite being so close to town. It sounds rural too! Lots of roosters crowing and dogs barking/ visiting our site. Lots of free range chickens and ducks. Overall, recommend.

I was looking for an inexpensive place to camp for a night between Asheville and Smoky Mtn NP. The location in the foothills of the Appalachians was scenic and private, while still being easily accessible to town and the highway. Tawny was super responsive when I made the reservation, and very friendly and helpful when I arrived. I personally didn’t find the property appealing for tenting, but it was winter and had recently rained! I decided to sleep in my SUV at the top of the property’s driveway which had nice views to the south and west. Overall it worked for me.

Great camping spot. Super close to town yet feels so private! Beautiful are and wonderful host. Book it!
Tawny was a kind and courteous host! Her land was beautiful and she had many options for where we could camp. The view of the mountains during the day and stars during the night were absolutely gorgeous. We definitely enjoyed our time here.
