We had a lovely time with our travel trailer on Amanda land. The views were beautiful and the site was easily accessible. She was easy to reach and easy to communicate with. Be sure to bring heavy duty bug spray and/or a Thermocell because even in December the mosquitoes and flies are abundant.

We had a great experience at this campsite and would recommend it to others. The host was very quick to respond to our request, answered all of our questions and was nice and understanding when our arrival time changed. We arrived to a large site with power and water connections, beautiful water view. The picnic table and fire bowl are shared between two campsites... We were the only campers so we had full use during our stay. Just a note - Be prepared for a lot of mosquitoes, especially at dusk. It may have been due to recent flooding, but we had to stay inside our shelter at dusk. Use of bug repellent was not enough to avoid lots of mosquito bites.

This site is amazing with so much beauty. It’s completely quiet and remote but if you’re headed to/from the OBX, this is perfect. Amanda communicated immediately and was very helpful.

This site was exactly as pictured. Laid out perfect and very quiet. Compared to some extreamly over crowded campgrounds we very much enjoyed our stay.

We had a fabulous time on Amanda’s beautiful land! Everything was just as gorgeous, if not more so, than described. We arrived after dark and had no trouble getting our RV leveled and hooked up to the power and water. There was one guy who introduced himself and let us know he was fishing but would be leaving shortly. Once he left we were the only ones there for our stay. It was so calm and peaceful! The crabs that came out in the evenings were pretty cool, and we also saw a lot of other neat wildlife. Amanda was very accommodating and let us book an additional night because we were enjoying it so much. We did as others suggested and picked up some of the crab cakes at the Lookout Grocery, they are worth it! We plan on coming back here often!

This was our first time trying Hipcamp. Amanda's place was perfect! The sites are flat, easy to access, with varying amenities (ours had electricity and water), and a gorgeous view. Located off the beaten path, it was still easy to make day trips to Cape Lookout, Beaufort, Morehead, and Atlantic Beach. We were surprised by the adorable baby blue crabs who came out each night to play - a pleasant surprise!

It was awesome! Beautiful views, grassy, comfortable site. Bugs got bad when wind died down, but totally worth it. Go to Lookout Grocery and buy crab cakes!

This was a fantastic place. Very private (would even seem that way if all sites were full) and wonderful location. DARK skies, wish I had brought my telescope! Overall a great place to stay, only wish there was a dump station nearby, there may be but I couldn't locate one. You are very close to Cape Lookout Ferry (minutes away) or Cedar Island Ferry to Ocracoke Island. 2 spots have 30 amp connection, even the other 2 have access to 110 V 20 Amp GFI circuit. I wouldn't try to camp here with anything over 28 feet (IMHO) as it would be a little difficult to get in and out and not all sites could fit anything bigger. My only (minor) complaint was a motion sensitive light that would come on at night and ruin my night vision.

Sean, thank you for your stay and review. You all were wonderful guests! I thought hat motion light may be too much, husband disagreed. Thanks for settling the debate. We have now turned off the motion light and people can plug it in if they wish. Thank you so much for your valuable feedback and we look forward to hosting you again.
