Use of the gravel pad on the lower lever of our home on a mountain side overlooking the French Broad River. Hap Simpson Park is directly across the street. It has a boat ramp, rafting, kayaking and fishing. We used to park our 23’ Airstream on this pad. It overlooks our neighbors charming pond with wild life. We have long hoses and 110v cords for electricity and water. Ther

Nicely landscaped property. Hiking and waterfalls abound. We are 1.5 miles to center of Brevard but feel woodsy. Very private from the house so you don’t feel like your right in the driveway. Folks welcome to observe woodworker in his shop. Possible use of shower in house after COVID. We are friendly and welcoming but don’t mind if you are completely private.
You will have to back out of small private road since there is no turn around but we never had a problem.

This was a great place for those wanting to be neutral to a few nature spots. It was close to downtown, Pisgah, and DuPont parks. They were friendly hosts and offered to help us while we set up. Though it is near a road, it is quiet enough to hear the frogs at the pond. I thoroughly enjoyed the location and friendliness of this booking.
Great view, folks, and connections.
I really liked to location, the hosts, and the views. Just be aware this is not a drive through. If you are in a towed vehicle you need to back out and down the road. So great to have the water and electrical connections. I also appreciate their experience as trailer owners (Airstream). Great folks. Highly recommend this location. I will be back.
The host's at River Gap were wonderful, helped out with a few things we needed. Good location close to hiking, waterfalls, and other sites. The site itself however, to no fault of the owner, was pretty flooded and muddy as a hurricane had come through just before our stay. I'd avoid this spot if you're expecting rain. Overall a very nice stay, we made due!
Private camper spot
The site is nice, off the main road and across from a pond...a relaxing spot for start the day with a cup of coffee! The pull in is a little tricky, but a small camper is doable! The hosts were very gracious and accommodating! The site is narrow so don’t expect to have room to put out an awning. Water and electric were provided. The expansive park and picnic area on the river is only about 1000 Ft away, although we didn’t get to explore because of extreme flooding.
