Located on the outskirts of the Catskill Mountains is our unique tent. At the top of a dirt road where the trees part and a beautiful view awaits you’ll find the perfect country getaway. Our complete off the grid tent sits on 150 acres of land that is open to hiking, bird watching, and exploring at your own risk. Our land in addition boarders 240 acres of NYS DEP land that is open to the public for hunting, hiking, and a variety of other activities.

This is a large canvas tent there is no electricity or running water.

The tent has one queen size bed in it. There is plenty of room for additional blow up mattresses or cots. Guests will need to provide these if needed.

We will provide a portable power bank for charging cell phones or other basic needs.

The drive to the tent is up a dirt road that is just over half a mile long. You will want to drive slow and be mindful of wild animals in the road.

You will have access to an outhouse and we will provide two sun shower bags. These are large 5 gallon bags that heat in the sun for showers. You will want to bring your own personal hygiene products. We will provide a total of four bath towels, 2 wash cloths, and 2 face towels. We will provide two rolls of toilet paper but guest will be responsible for any additional rolls they may need.

There is a fire pit and bbq grill available for guest use. We suggest bringing foods that can be cooked over a fire pit or on a bbq grill. We DO NOT suggest leaving food lying about. You are in an area with lots of wildlife and leaving food about draws them in.

The tent sits on 150 acres of land. Our land is available to you at your own risk. Please be mindful when wandering about. The land that boarders ours is 240 acres of DEP land that is open to the public.

Guests are welcome to use the hammock, horse shoe pits, and corn hole boards.

Guests are responsible to pick up after themselves. When you come to the end of your stay please empty all garbages into the outdoor garbage can and tie the bag shut.

What an amazing spot in the mountains! Totally private, long dirt road to get to the spot at the top of the hill. The tent is amazing and super cozy. The field is much larger than it would seem - had it all to ourselves. Thank you, Virginia and Billy.

This place is beautiful! At the top of a mountain with a very nice view. We got to see the strawberry moon for our trip, and it was amazing. The hosts are very kind and the yurt is very homey. It was fun cooking in the woods, being alone, and have all this space to ourselves. Thank you for sharing this beauty with us.

The loveliest time ever. The town is secluded and full of mountains the roads to the spot have their own great views. Upon arriving our fire was already set up and we had absolutely everything we needed. The hosts were more than accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed, we were able to ask questions about the area and always got a quick and helpful response. Truly the nicest hosts you could have. The tent is beautiful and spacious. The daylight illuminates the tent so we’ll and the fire and lanterns are so comforting at night. The Mountain View was unbeatable, right behind the tent is a perfect view of the mountains! Completely wonderful stay, we had everything we needed. Originally we were staying one night but we loved it so much we booked a second! Absolutely recommend for anyone trying to get away to somewhere immersed in nature and fully secure with everything you’d need while being in the mountains!
