Pitch your tent in a breezy pear grove between stream and meadow. You are welcome to enjoy miles of marked walking trails through the forest and orchards of Sunswick Farm, a working heirloom apple orchard and honey operation (the bees are on the other side of the property and we would love to show them to you if you are interested). The farm is full of wildlife so keep your eyes and ears open. All manner of birds and frogs will be your background music so strap your hammock in the trees and relax. The field is an excellent place to watch fireflies and stargaze. There is a friendly outhouse a short walk away nestled in the woods. It is shared with the Cedar Cabin in the Woods.
While you will feel secluded at your campsite, the nearby town of Moravia has all modern conveniences: grocery store, gas station, pizza shop, Loc-Mor thrift (a treasure trove), Kinney Drugs, and more. Don't worry if you left something at home. If it is hot, there are two fantastic swimming spots a short drive away Fillmore Glen (showers available) in Moravia, and The Long Point State Park in Aurora, NY.
If you want to sit around and do nothing, you can enjoy that at your campsite! If you want to explore the area, it's the Finger Lakes! There are tons of breweries, wineries, and restaurants as well as scenic and cultural attractions. Do a little of everything at Sunswick Farm!

A honey of a hipcamp!
Staying at Pear Grove Campsite was even better than we had expected and proved to be one of our best Hipcamp experiences ever. The orchard site was private yet open with a huge starlit sky at night and a short walk over a bridge and brook to a charming ( yes, charming! ) outhouse. We spent two mornings hiking through the 100 acre wooded property to a waterfall and a ‘hanging valley’. Our delightful hosts were informative and responsive to any requests. This site is a good base for exploring the Finger Lakes region. We will definitely return!!
Great great camping!!
Awesome place with awesome people! Would highly recommend. We cooked a wonderful meal on cast iron skillets over the fire. We went on a wonderful hike to a beautiful waterfall and saw a baby fisher (we think). The bathrooms are really clean compost outhouses. I will give a forewarning (writing this in July) the mosquitoes are bloodthirsty—bring some bug spray!
What a wonderful spot!
We had an absolutely great time staying at Pear Grove Campsite. It was secluded, quiet, and well shaded. Brooks provides 5 gallons of water, a campfire pit, picnic table, and the cleanest, cutest outhouse I'd ever seen. We were able to chat with Brooks for a little while and she is full of energy and a great host. We can't wait to go back again!
Secluded site on farm in great area
This farm rocks. Campsite was secluded about 100m from the road. Nice little dishwashing setup with a 5-gallon jug suspended from a rope a few steps from the fire pit. If you need one, they have a smoker out there, too.
The outhouse is extremely above-average.
The area was great, too. Long Point park is a great sunset spot nearby with a great playground for kids, and Treleven wines had stellar food and wine a few miles down the road.
Brooks was fantastic and covered the site with a tarp before we arrived. She was super responsive and even gave us a tour of the bee farm (she goes out with no protective gear; the sight of this alone makes the whole trip worthwhile).
We bought the honey. It’s fantastic.
Beautiful spacious and respectful
The private spacious camp site was absolutely beautiful, perfect for a calm getaway. The hosts were very friendly and respectful. The amenities were wonderful - great fire pit, useful cooking utensils, multiple seating / picnic table options, and a clean outhouse. Trails nearby through a gorgeous forest. We felt very safe as well, especially during covid times - all interactions were masked and distanced, and hand sanitizer is provided in the loo. On our way out Brooks and her husband gave us a lovely tour of their new honey operation - amazing! We are already planning a return trip!
