Our property is a very wooded, secluded area on two and a half acres. We are nestled on a private road on top of a hill backed up to 2100 acres of New York State Forest and Hill State Forest. There's waterways with active Beaver ponds between our properties. We do not we do have a mountain lion up here.

We are 420 friendly! Get ready to tent up on top of the hill in a very secluded spot with a small campfire. The lower area is reserved for glamping.

We have a bell/yurt tent over looking our small pond. The yurt site has its own shower tent we use for privacy when you're doing what nature does. We offer organic vegetables from the garden and almost everyday in our blacksmith/woodworking shop.

For a nice experience for adventurous families, you are welcome to accompany us on our heading of our goats/milking, collect eggs for your own breakfast We do provide pots and pans at the yurt site.

We are beyond grateful to have found Stoney Goat! The atmosphere was perfect and Gary was more than helpful. The goats were just as friendly and super fun to watch. The yurt campsite was set up with a wonderful welcome basket, that included fresh vegetables and eggs! Gary was a wonderful host and has a great vision for his properly. Next time, we have to remember to pack a bit lighter. Although the path to the yurt is very doable, it can be a lot with your hands full. Gary offered his help many times and was very attentive. We realized we didn’t even need half of the stuff we brought up anyway!! It was the perfect little getaway we needed! We can’t wait to come back and see his visions come to life!! (and all the animals, especially the goats!!)

Our stay with Stoney Goat Homestead was perfect. The yurt was lovely, the woods were quiet, the host was amazing. And the goats! Funny things, I personally feel I need to own goats now.

If you’re thinking about staying here, think no more. Just click that reservation button. It was an awesome experience.

Staying at Stoney goat homestead was such a nice getaway for me and my partner for my birthday weekend. Gary was on it with the communication, and the best host I’ve had after years of Airbnbs and hipcamp. He really made my birthday extra special and I’m so excited to return to see his vision of the homestead come into fruition. It’s a magical forest escape with so many goats and chickens roaming around. The goats are so sweet and cool! Close to Seneca lake and Watkins Glen. We got to stay in the yurt one night, and camp at the tent site another night and both experiences were so lovely! With a beautiful starry sky at night and farm fresh eggs in the morning, it was a one-of-a-kind experience and I’m so happy I chose this spot. Thank you so much Gary!

I am so excited to be the first to review Nathan's space! We were looking for a last minute camping overnight with less set up and came across Stoney Goat Homestead. We had great communication ahead of our stay, and I feel we were well informed and had all our questions answered. The Homestead is not far from I86, but definitely hidden in some of the most peaceful woods I've visited in a very long time. Nathan met us at the top of the driveway and guided us in. There is a trail down from the driveway to the beaver pond, across the handmade footbridge, and up to the yurt/tent. We made two trips each with four people to get our gear to the site (I did the trips in Teva sandals. It's a bit steep, but completely doable.) The site was clean and perfectly primitive. Nathan left us a lovely welcome basket, and shortly after walked down from his cabin to bring us fresh farm eggs and fresh garden veggies, which were all delicious! The terrain and forest are perfect for all the sweet, friendly goats, chickens, cats and dogs. Our boys loved walking the hill and hanging out with the goats! There is no potable water or sink, so we just brought our 5-gallon water container for the overnight. There is a tent composting loo adjacent to the tent, which was super convenient. And Nathan has run power to the tent so we could charge our phones. We had the best time at Nathan's site, and I can't wait to go back to see all the amazing ideas come to life here!!
