Ok, this place is awesome. It’s an inn + tavern, with a giant back yard for campers right on the edge of forest trails. The owner is super friendly and hospitable (also has kayaks for rent) and hardworking.
This stay has so much history. The host, Jenny, has so much passion and drive for her business. In the short course of our overnight stay, we learned about the history of the building on the property and her dreams for the future.
On top of this, we were greeted to a wonderful and welcoming atmosphere that fostered camaraderie across diverse guests. Whether you just want to pitch a tent or stay in one of the hand remodeled historic rooms on the top floor, I would highly recommend stopping in.
This experience was a little different than most stays I've had. Jenny is unbelievably dedicated to her craft and her site. It was amazing to hear her story and her future plans for the hipcamp.
The accomodations were extrodinary and went above and beyond every expectation I had.
I cannot recommend this place enough, whether you camp or stay in the the hotel.
Adirondack hiking and camping
Jenny is a perfect host! Friendly, knowledgeable, goes above and beyond for her Hipcampers. Her tavern is lovely for an evening drink after a full day of hiking. Absolutely recommend this site!
The spot to stay!
This is THE place to stay! We’ll kept land, beautiful views all around you and the hotel on site is out of this world. My dog and I stayed over night and camped out back and couldn’t have been happier! We were greeted with a warm smile and a tour around the property. Jenny was beyond hospitable and made us feel right at home. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone in the area looking for a fun low key place to stay. We will definitely be return customers when in the area again.
Awesome location and host
Jenny was the perfect host. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The camping location is private, yet not far from amenities. We were given tons of information about the area including hiking trails, swimming spots, kayak routes, and even detailed history behind the hotel. Definitely suggest taking the kayaks out to explore the nearby lakes.
We were only able to stay for two days but would definitely return to explore the region more as there is so much more to do!
