What a lovely farm to spend time! We loved our stay and the hosts, Heather and Paul were great. They made us feel totally welcomed and cared for. The farm had chickens and pigs and geese to see and learn about. There were ponds and quarries and different places to explore and relax within the scenery. The campsite was great. Private and secluded. It had an amazing outhouse with a stained glass window. There was a table and a fire pit. We were in the wooded areas with access to hiking trails as well as being able to drive back (or you could take a long walk) to the farm area for filling up water and seeing different views. Highly recommend this farm for camping.

The lake with Buddha and the Geese! Great gazebo too! Relaxing at the quarry. This is the space we had! Open and cleaned out under the trees. We were able to see the chickens! Great for our 10 year old boy

Words cannot describe how amazing this stay was! The owners were so friendly and very accommodating, they truly thought of everything. We were expecting to only sleep at the farm and spend our time at state parks but instead we spent the whole weekend exploring all 400 acres of the property and its’ beautiful views. The owners gave us free range to ride our bikes to the quarry, the farm, and the big oak tree. Anytime we passed anyone working on the farm they were extremely welcoming and we felt very at home. Even though it rained, we still consider it the best camping weekend we’ve ever had. If you go, make sure to notice all the owner’s handcrafted art pieces, truly amazing!! Would recommend for intimate or large group camping they're very accommodating to any group size. Thank you guys for an amazing weekend, we will be back!

Absolutely amazing! Heather and the whole farm crew was overly communicative and so welcoming.

There’s two sites, one on a hill across from the farm and one further back in the forested part of the land. We stayed in the forested site.

The farm has several areas to be and explore. We loved swimming in the front, in a small pond. There’s a lovely swinging bench there, perfect for reading.

You could easily spend all day hiking on the land. There are owls that seem to be roosting by the back campsite. That site is shaded and lovely, very private.

Near the front house there’s a natural potable water source, lovely outdoor shower and sink.

Could not recommend it enough!

The experience exceeded our expectations and was really quite luxurious! Heather greeted us and helped us into a jeep to bring us to the campsite. The site was in an open field, with a beautiful view of the green mountains, near a brand new outhouse. Heather gave us some extra fresh water, a grate which we used to cook food, as well as a nice table and two camp chairs. We pitched our tents, lit a fire, watched the sunset, and watched the moonrise before falling asleep in our tents. Great experience overall

We enjoyed Cold Spring Farm so much we visited a second time this weekend! Heather went out of her way to be exceptionally accommodating, while never being intrusive. We felt very safe and had plenty of privacy up in the pasture (Site 1).

The view at Site 1 is absolutely amazing! We camped under an ancient oak positioned on a hedgerow growing wild blackberries, between two pastures. You have a perfect view of the Green Mountains to the southeast and a great place to watch the Moon rise. It was very quiet and there was plenty of bird watching to do.

We did not have a vehicle that could make it up the rough road to the site, however Heather was more than gracious enough to help make arrangements. Every need was met with warmth.

Having stayed at the farm once before, we'd recommend Site 1 or the site in the Hops Yard as our favorites.

Heather showed us at the farm, that they're working on a root cellar built into the hill!A view of the fields beyond the campsite. Definitely room to roam!Moon rise seen from Site 1 Enjoying a camp fire, facing the Green Mountains.

Wow!! We cannot say enough good things about Heather's farm and campsites! My best friend and I chose to stay here for our annual camping trip and it was everything we expected plus so much more! Amazing views and an endless amount of things to do on the property! We enjoyed walking around the property and exploring all of the beautiful sites and we had a great day kayaking on the quarry, very serene! Heather and everyone we interacted with at the farm were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful! We felt right at home and we loved meeting all of the animals! Our campsite was located in the Hopsyard and it was perfect! Wooded and private, but opens up into breathtaking views of the mountains and property! Great hand built outhouse on our campsite too that was very clean and well-kept. The outdoor showers by the farmhouse were wonderful also! Great location too, we enjoyed exploring the area and even took a trip into Vermont the one day and had a great lunch at Wells Country Market which was only 15 minutes down the road. We would not hesitate to recommend Heather's farm to anyone who is visiting the area!

What should have been a 2 hour ride from home turned into an 8 hr ride to Cold Spring farm. Heather responded within moments of any questions or necessities we might need including changing our camp site to the front lawn so we could set up quickly because of our midnight arrival. Unfortunately midnight turned into 3:30am because of bad link for directions(heather clearly posted her address.) at this point heather offered up a small apartment on the property because she knew we were beat and ready to crash. When we got there heather greeted us with a smile.she quickly brought us to our sleeping Area and let us crash! The next morning heather brought us to our camp with the farm Jeep we would use for the weekend. Definitely need 4 wheel drive. She had fresh spring water, some hammocks, a chair swing. Every thing we needed. We set up and looked around camp and it’s just beautiful a real perfect spot hidden away in the mountain. Around 12:30 we had arranged to be shown the property heather sent their farm hand Matt to show us around. For having to deal with three ladies on girls weekend for a trip around this amazing property he was exceptional. The rest of our stay was amazing with adventures galore. We LOVED our stay. I could Go on even more but I will leave it with highly recommending staying at cold spring farm!

We had such a wonderful experience at Cold Spring Farm & Trails. Heather is very friendly and helpful, and she made sure we had everything we needed. The property is stunningly beautiful, and there are many different locations to check out. Our campsite felt very private and peaceful, and the view was amazing, especially at sunrise. There were plenty of animals to see, including cows, pigs, chickens, and turkeys. We hope to come back soon.

This was the most awesome campsite ever. Such a beautiful spot and the hosts were incredibly accommodating and friendly. Five stars. Try the quarry for a swim. The ponds have small bass in them and fun fishing for the kids. Our site was remote and wooded. The outhouse was great. Loved everything about this place. Thank you for a great stay.
