This is the only camp site on a 200 acre parcel of secluded rural farm land. We have a working pasture based farm where you can see how grass fed beef, pork, and chicken are raised (including pasture-raised eggs). Campers are welcome to stop by the farm store where you can get fresh eggs and various beef, pork, and chicken cuts for your camp cooking. There's nothing quite like fresh eggs and bacon after waking up to the sunrise over a fog-filled valley. While we are a working farm, much of our property is not grazed or farmed. You are welcome to explore the entire area while also getting a glimpse of sustainable, grass-fed, farming methods. Visit or farm web site at Red House Ranch for more about our products that you can order cook while you are here. When you arrive we will provide you with a dozen of pastured raised egg for FREE.
In addition to hiking trails with incredible views, there are four ponds on the property. One is very large and suitable for swimming and paddling. The other three are smaller and are primarily now wildlife habitat. We have seen golden eagles, blue herons, coyotes, turtles, wild turkeys, foxes, bob-a-links, deer, and great horned owls all on our land! It's the perfect spot for wildlife enthusiasts and bird watchers. Additionally, each pond is easily accessible with mowed paths and one pond has a dock that can be used for fishing or just relaxing by the water. Our area has little light pollution and excellent star visibility, if it's not cloudy. It's also not uncommon to hear coyotes howling every night.
If you're feeling adventurous, there is also a more strenuous hike down into the creek bed where you can find miniature versions of the gorges and waterfalls that our region is known for. We are happy to provide maps and guidance or leave you to your own devices. We just hope you enjoy your stay as much as we enjoy living in this beautiful Southern Tier/Finger Lakes area.

Wow. We drove up over the rise and the view took our breath away. It’s like staying in the meadow where Maria von trap sings “The hills are alive...”. Ike has created a campsite that is an oasis of natural beauty. In the shade of a maple you see the black angus and red hens and miles up and down the valley. The outhouse is clean and fresh and has its own view into the woods. We bought bacon, lamb, chicken, and eggs from the farm and cooked them for breakfast and dinner plus vegetables from a nearby farm stand. Our hosts were thoughtful and attentive but never intrusive and welcomed our curiosity about their work turning the farm to a productive sustainable enterprise while guarding the integrity of the land and animals. This is a very special place. We hated to leave. We will be pondering all we saw and learned and the sheer magnitude of beauty. This far exceeded not only our expectations but also our hopes.
Ike was an amazing host! He was very flexible and available to check us in late on Friday and provided us a tour on Sunday morning of the farm -- the pigs and chickens were super cute.
The land itself is INCREDIBLE -- I wish we had more time to explore the 200 acres. Breathtaking views of the landscape and the skyscape. Actual peace and quiet! We got to take a swim in the pond, which was super refreshing and magical as well.
Honestly, I can't recommend this space enough. My partner and I will definitely stay again if we are back in the area.
I stayed here for two nights. It was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. The views are incredible and the night sky was full of stars. Ike was a fantastic host. He was very accommodating (let me use his hose to rinse off my mountain bike after a day of riding). Before I left I ordered a bunch of meat products from the farm and Ike had them packaged and ready to go for me early in the morning.

We were just looking for an easy place to park our mini-conversion van and hang for 3-4 days. We really lucked out finding Ike & David, and their adorable mom. Fresh eggs, amazing bacon and sausage and Mike hit me up with some of his homemade broth when he heard we were keto/broth folks!! Delicious. And then we loaded up our cooler with all kinds of goodies from the online store to stock our freezer at home.
Unique farm that is trying to do the right thing for meat animals and is looking to improve the sustainability of the food chain at many levels by really researching technique but with no tech ;)
No need to talk about the site cause it's exactly as described: private, stunning, cool compost toilet w/ a view and more than enough firewood.
We'll be back soon!!

Amazing location, awesome host!
Awesome!! Can not recommend this place enough. The views are spectacular. Great hosts who gave us tons of resources but let us alone to do our thing. Lots of swimming and recreation opportunities. So peaceful during the day and great starry skies at night. It simply can’t get any better. We will definitely come back every year!
We booked this site to explore the waterfalls around Ithaca. The site was clean and beautiful specially the views. The site is on top of a hill so it can be a bit windy sometimes but overall it was amazing. It was nice seeing the animals in the farm and buying meat to cook on the fire!!

Ike was a wonderful host and his site is just fantastic! The views are stunning and the sunsets can’t be beat. The site is private and beautiful maintained! We would love to stay here again
Red House Ranch was a dream come true. This property and campsite is magical. We could only stay for 2 nights but wish we could have stayed an extra week and are already planning our return trip. The views are amazing and the site is very private. Ike is an awesome host, passionate and intellectual farmer and just a great guy. He toured us around the property and showed us how they raise animals responsibly, sustainably and humanely. Nothing but happy and healthy animals, how all farms should be. We also met Ike’s brother Dave who helped with check in and made sure we were all situated.
The positive energy on the farm was palpable. We brought our dog and she had a blast there as well. The site itself was perfect. Clean, private and had the bathroom a short walk away as well as a hose for potable water. Incredible sunsets, stargazing galore and waking up with the sunrise. We’re truly grateful for our time and experience at Red House Ranch and can’t wait to come back.
