My boyfriend and I had a great stay here! Ralph and Casey are the sweetest, friendliest couple. Casey gave us a tour of the farm animals and brought our things to and from the campsite with their wagon. They really made us feel welcome and went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible - communication was great before and during our stay, Ralph went to their neighbor and picked up firewood for us (along with a bottle of honey) and they took time to chat with us during our stay. We could tell that they love hosting campers! The campsite is basically in their backyard on the other side of the pond but it was quiet and private - the barn blocks the view of their house. The outhouse was very convenient and had a flushing toilet - so luxurious! The site also has a round table with benches, a grill with utensils and a nice spot for a campfire. The pond is larger than the photos show and it’s really lovely to wake up next to it in the morning! There is also a short trail as well as a paddle boat! Casey also let us know there is a foosball table and games in the barn that we could use, which we really appreciated. The site is convenient to hiking spots and nearby towns and there are grocery stores and gas stations nearby. Overall we loved the site and most of all really enjoyed meeting Ralph and Casey - we would go back just to see them again!
We had a wonderful stay! The site was lovely with an excellent fire pit. It had plenty of space and a perfect spot for my son to set up his hammock. The hosts were very kind and communicative. They let us use their paddle boat to explore the pond, which the kids loved, and were so nice about meeting us to transport our things to the campsite from the car and back. We had young children in our group and found nice short hikes nearby. Also, the site had the best outhouse ever. A great stay overall!
We loved staying here. It is a great location for hiking and we loved walking around the property, racing on the paddle boat, meeting the animals, and, of course, talking with our lovely and very hospitable hosts. We highly recommend staying here and look forward to coming back in the spring.
Starry skies by the pond
Had a great stay at Reigning Hope Farm, Ralph and Casey were such personable and accommodating hosts. Loved the spot near the pond, lots of birds to see. Built a nice fire and slept so well under the stars! Nice to have a loop through the woods behind the property to stroll through, and also close to great hiking. Thanks to Ralph and Casey, who gifted us some local honey, a delicious reminder of our visit!
Our stay here was nothing short of perfect. Casey and Ralph are incredible hosts with an amazing campsite on a wooded pond. Ralph will bring all your gear to the site in his 4 wheeler (although it’s not a super far walk from where you park). The site is clean and nice with a fire pit, picnic table, trash (that they remove for you), and a VERY clean camping toilet. Casey introduced our daughter to all of their lovely animals and even let her help feed some of them. We were so very pleased with everything about this experience and will most certainly be back again.
This was my wife's first camping trip so I went out of my way to find somewhere special and we were not disappointed. The camping site is beautiful and Casey and her husband Ralf went out of their way to make us feel welcome and answer any questions we may have. Casey even showed us around the farm and my 5-year-old daughter loved the opportunity to meet all the farm animals. We loved it so much that we are planning to return in the Spring.
Place was amazing! It was me and my son (5 years old) and we enjoyed staying by the pond. It is behind their barn but they have no lights up at night which is amazing. It is off a road, but at night there's hardly any noise. Good side is that its down the street from a big gas station ( sandwiches there are really good btw)
I picked this location because its near Mohank Park and I took my son to do the labryanth trail which isn't to bad for a 5 year old BTW.
Some things you should know;
1. You cant park near your camp spot, but they do provide you mode of transportation for all your gear which is also guided for the area. I had Rick show me around and he was super nice and chill.
2. The pond is stocked with catfish so come prepared and have some fun. Catfish like chicken necks.
3. The spot is leveled and the bathroom is nice, didn't have any issues with ticks or ground bugs.
4. In the morning, Casey should us around and let us hang out with the chickens, ducks, and the minature horses and ponies which btw she gave me a great little class.
