We were able to stay on site 3 by the lake and it was secluded and quiet. The train came by several times but was quick and didn’t bother us. It rained a bit both nights but we still enjoyed our time. Perfect location to explore the North Fork!
This is a magical portal back to the LI of my youth. This is the real east end. I just loved it. I truck camped so I was in the field , but if you tent camp you can be right on the Peconic River.
The host is super friendly and helpful. Everything is well sign posted, there are fire rings and fancy deck chairs.
It rained the whole time but I sat in my truck and watched the birds and then went off to do stuff. It’s close to Splish Splash and the aquarium, as well as the beaches and all the other things out east. You could go clamming and come back for a clam bake if you wanted to. Anyway, I recommend it.
Great spot to relax and camp. The map of camp spots is very accurate, 4 spots on the grass 1 near the river. Easy to pass up on the road so be sure to pay attention to the directions. I would easily stay here again and recommend it for anyone camping/car camping.
Easy to get to but far from it all. Michael came by to check on us and all was good. Sites 1, 2 & 4 are RV accessible sites but site #3 (which is right on the river!) is over the railroad tracks so it's a tent site. We booked #3 but couldn't get there with our Sprinter. We were the only ones there that night so Michael was good with us just parking near the water. It was a quick little escape!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Michael’s and will definitely return. He was an incredibly accommodating host and even allowed us to watch him feed his 10 pet chickens! My 2 year old son loved it! The trails on his property are beautiful and everything was well maintained.
Lovely place with a nice view of river! Host was very charming and helpful! All the sites were clean and maintained well. Im definitely coming back!
Michael is a terrific host. His property provides a nice respite from the hustle and bustle on Long Island.
