Magical, refreshing, peaceful
This is officially my all time favorite camping spot in the tri-state area! I had the most wonderful 24hour city escape and The Creekside Tent Camp is really the perfect place for an easy retreat/escape. The pond is delicious for swimming, the property is great for exploring and simply strolling around. This was my second time visiting and I already want to book my trips for next spring and summer! Thank you William for a truly magical stay once again!
We had a great time staying at William's site! We were looking for a quiet spot to sleep outdoors for a few nights and loved the water - both the creek and the pond where we took a few refreshing dips. The view from the upper campsite is great. I brought my dog and he had a blast running around offleash for the weekend. Would definitely go back if we're in the area!
William’s property was exactly what we were looking for! It’s such a beautiful location tucked in the trees, very private, and right next to a good sized creek that our dog loved running through! A real highlight was having a quick dip in the nearby swimming hole! We even endured one of the craziest thunderstorms I’ve ever camped in one evening, but the site was so well located, we were and dry cozy in our tent!
William was fantastic with communication and when we arrived, not only did we find the wood we had preordered, but a jug of drinking water as well, which was really thoughtful!
Wonderful site - room to spread out, babbling creek nearby, and a wonderful swimming pond just up the driveway! Would absolutely stay here again, there is a bit of a walk from parking to the site but pack light and enjoy the hike for a peaceful, isolated spot.
Staying here was very relaxing and the site was very private. After some minutes of walking we arrived at the site. It was lovely, and we enjoyed the sounds of the babbling brook and the view of the trees from all sides. We enjoyed making a campfire too.
I would recommend arriving well before dark and bringing sturdy walking shoes and a flashlight. Also you will surely want to pack lightly so you can carry everything in one trip. If you have difficulty walking in mountain terrain you may also think of bringing a luggable loo and compost so you can enjoy the location without needing to walk up the hill in the dark. But these are the considerations that come with being in such a remote location with lots of beautiful scenery.
William and the family were very gracious and kind hosts. We felt at home right away and hope to make it back. Would stay here again!
William was very accommodating for our last minute campsite booking. He responded quickly and made the arrival/check-in process a breeze. The property is beautiful and sleeping by the creek was nice + peaceful. After setting up a fire, we weren't bothered by mosquitoes at all which was a bonus. There's a few spots to choose from for setting up a tent (or two), and hammock camping is also a great option. Hope to be back one day!
