The place is nice, the people were helpful and kind. Just make sure you have levelers for your vehicle. It isn’t terribly sloped, but enough to throw off my camper van. I decided to leave and was pleasantly surprised that they refunded my money.
Very friendly hosts that greeted us even though we arrived late, plenty of privacy in this nice and quiet space, highly recommend!
We arrived late and Mary was very accommodating with our parking situation. I have no doubt that if we could have camped under the birch trees it would have been beautiful! Mary was patient and understanding and we very much appreciated that!
Very kind and accommodating, owners were flexible and very helpful. Charming location as well.
Staying at the McClelland place was simple quick and easy everything I needed. Big plus - the bullfrog in the tiny pond was very fun for the kids. The hosts went out of their way to make us comfortable, and they are great! We'd stay again if in the area again.
Tent camping here was so great. We were nicely secluded and there were thousands of fireflies putting on a light show for us. Highly recommend.
This place is awesome. There is plenty of room. I didn’t get to see the actual camp sites due to torrential downpour. I was camping in a van anyway and I was a late arrival, so the host let me just stay on the driveway. Although I didn’t get to see the tent space, I KNOW this is a great place to stay. I plan on staying again! Hopefully this time in the tent space. I can’t wait to check out the frog pond. THE HOSTS ARE AWESOME. Very nice people. Thank you!!!
Beautiful hidden spot looking over the meadow, with a fire pit & benches, and a patio table for 6! Plenty of space for multiple tents nestled between high bushes for protection. There’s also a brand spankin’ new port-a-pot up the little path towards the front lawn.
Sidenote: I traveled w my 72 year old mom who claimed at the outset she wanted to “rough it” but at the sight of even a few mosquitoes she chose to hightail it to a motel! 🤣 There’s a heat wave up here so my mom suggests ya bring bug spray if it’s over 90 degrees (and ‘if you’re over 70’, she says, hahaha.)
In the end, without even asking them, Mary & Dave refunded our fee through Hipcamp, which was very kind and unexpected!!!
Would definitely want to return though on my own or in different weather! Beautiful garden, cool hosts, nice spot. Thanks you guys!
