SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT- *Pooh's Corner is now officially getting booked for the new season. We are in the process of preparing the accommodations, winter clean-up, and site preparations. Here's to a new year and safe travels.  We hope you enjoy Pooh's Corner as much as enjoy having all of you great Hipcampers sharing our beautiful Fingerlakes area with us.

PLEASE NOTE: Our sites are custom made for tent or car camping. RVs and any trailer campers (over 14') are very difficult to place only because there are no easy ways to back in or turn around. We highly recommend "Paradise Park" (same general area) for those types of camping units.

Pooh's Corner lies in a rural area just 1.5 miles from Watkins Glen. We took great care to make sure each campsite is private and the trails are easily navigable. There are State Parks and places to hike one of the many gorges in and around beautiful Seneca Lake. Take a tour of the many wineries and breweries which our region is famous for. Enjoy hiking, swimming, biking, kayaking, and many historical sites to see.

This camping spot was a great work in progress! You can tell Matthew has been working hard recently to make this a great place. He was very accommodating to us, finding a spot so we can camp out of our car and being respectful with our dog. Although the bathroom was a decent distance from many of the campsites, it was very clean. The creek was dry so we couldn't access the water. Great location, very close to the town center and to the State Park. Matthew was attentive to messages throughout our stay and even the next morning when he helped us find a secrete hike spot he enjoys.

It is a really new camping groud, everything is nite and organized. And Mathhew and his Wife are really nice and friendly. When we arrive, Matthew waited us at the entrance and gave us a tour about the whole site. then we get the chance to chose the favorate camping site. Also there are some free bottle water and vegetables on the site. really make us felt welcoming.
And the location is convenient (about 10 min drive to the town) but really quite at night and felt like surrounded by the nature all the time.
I really enjoyed the two nights stay! really recommended to every group want to have an easy happy camping experience. I definately will come back again to enjoy the Autumn!
Love the site!

What a wonderful surprise!!! Fairly new to Hipcamp, Matthew and Sheryl have outdone themselves. Each spot has been given careful consideration regarding a guests’ privacy and comfort. Matthew and Sheryl were also extremely accommodating. I can’t wait to revisit and see what they’ve done.

Matt and Sheryl were very accommodating and welcoming hosts and the campsite was wonderful, private feeling, and outfitted with a table, chairs, fire pit, and wagon full of fire wood. The restroom was well maintained. All that is fantastic but most importantly was the location. You have a campsite with a rural atmosphere literally three minutes from downtown Watkins Glen and just a couple more to Watkins Glen State Park. Thank you for a great stay!

We got a very private, clean and flat camping spot. They were so nice and gave us great local advice they went out of their way to make sure we had maps, travel info and cold water. Excellent

Matt and Sheryl were perfect hosts and provided a perfect home for our camping weekend! With the advance details we provided, they picked out a campsite for us that was tailored to our requirements in terms of space and layout. The site was large, clean/well groomed, had a fire ring and split firewood all ready to go, and a picnic table with a durable outdoor cloth (very easy to keep clean) and a canopy overhead. Our space was private and quiet. The shared facilities (portapotty, welcome table with cold water and brochures about the area) were also well set up. The myriad trails running through the property were fun to explore. We felt safe and happy at Pooh's Corner, and we would gladly stay there again! Thank you Matt and Sheryl!

My group & I had a lovely time at Pooh’s Corner. The land is beautiful. There are numerous sites to choose from that offer something for everyone. Firewood & kindling was provided, which was very generous. Trails are well kept so there was no issue keeping our car by the site. The porta potty was also kept very clean. Sheryl & Matt are sweet & helpful hosts. We highly recommend this campsite!

We didn’t get a chance to meet Matt, but Sheri met us when we arrived and showed us around the camp, allowing us to pick our own site. There was plenty of firewood already provided for us, as well as a hammock at the site we chose!
At a couple points during the night we heard walking around the campsite and our tent. We were both a little freaked out, especially when we saw a flashlight shining at us. We’re not sure who it was that was doing this, but nothing came of it and we were fine.
Over all, we had a great experience at Pooh’s Corner, and if we are ever back in the area this would be our first choice to stay at again!
