The site is a rustic Tiny house located in the forest at the edge of an organic apple orchard. Very private location on 30 acres at the end of a dead end road.
You'll hike along the orchard to the end and through a gate to access the house. Full size bed inside, also a tent that can be set up or bring your own tent/cots/bedding to accommodate more then two sleepers. There is no running water, no electricity, no heat and no WiFi at the tiny house site. About a 2 minute walk (you'll pass on your way to the site) there is a very remote and private shared outdoor shower, outhouse, wash sink with potable water and spot you can plug in to charge near the farm house. There is also a shared outdoor kitchen with a refrigerator, gas cooking range and sink in addition to electrical outlets. There are some tables around the kitchen area as well as a fire pit and grills. This is an active farm - so you can enjoy spending time among the orchard trees and observing the chickens and pigs. Please bring bedding and towels (if you require them - let us know).
This is a very woodsy site. It is not a hotel or sterile feel. It is out in nature, there are sticks, rocks, leaves, bugs, rain, mud, and all of the camp type things - often even inside your rental space. We have a little squirrel that has been seen visiting in the tiny house. The outhouse is an outhouse - so it is not like a hotel room bathroom. You will experience sounds, sites and happenings including animals such as deer, bald eagles, turtles, porcupines, beavers, chipmunks, squirrels, frogs, toads, snakes and more. This area does also have bears & coyotes. We advise not to leave food out at night. We recommend bug spray or candles as there are many flies and other insects that enjoy buzzing around. As we are an active farm you will likely hear rooster crow, a tractor hum, geese and ducks and pigs as you explore the property. Sometimes during the day we do run the tractor to mow or spray the orchard (organic actually involves lots of SAFE spraying of clay, nee and natural products to protect the apples). You should expect a rustic, woody, campsite type feel - not a typical air b n b type rental apartment.
Please carry out what you carry in and leave it clean for the next group. We clean between all visitors - and are currently keeping quite a distance to protect you, the site and everybody involved.
The property is a 5 minute drive to the hamlet of Mountaindale, @ visitmountaindale/ mountaindale dot com which has a lovely Rail Trail for hikes and bikes, and some excellent dining options including @ highvoltagecatskills, in addition to creek bar a magical cafe & bar with outdoor seating and fire pits that serves delicious modern Polish American comfort food, great cocktails, and has live music and events on weekends. There is also an artisan pizza spot with indoor/outdoor seating, hipster vibes and fun cocktails and live music @ thedaleNY
For shopping you can also stop by @ forageandgather - they have foods, meats, gourmet deli and coffee and carry all the little things you may have forgotten to bring along in addition to a locally and craft focused wine and spirits shop. Also stop by @ ambikaboutique and get some hand crochet bikinis or angora hats and vintage clothing in addition to local jewlery. There is also a yoga studio with dance, yoga and areal yoga! @ mountaindaleyoga
There is superb hiking nearby at Neversink Unique Area in Rock Hill. Also Bashakill trails (and conveniently a vineyard with tastings and events right nearby). Your'e also about 30 minutes away from super cute fun larger towns and attractions like New Paltz, Livingston Manor, and tons of incredible Catskill hiking and nature opportunities. NOTE! There's an excellent Farmers Market on Saturday's in Rock Hill from 10-1pm from June to September also. Come find us there!

This place is magical. We were having breakfast, and my 2 year old saw a peacock on the roof looking down at us. That's all you need to know :)
But seriously, this place is beautiful, Sarah and her kids were gracious hosts, and we intend to visit again. The tiny houses were clean and well maintained.
This is about my 6th or 7th time at Majestic, and I keep coming back because it's so great! The kitchen is a real upgrade from visits past. Outhouse kept clean at all times. Took some family members here for their first time camping and they enjoyed it! The dogs and farm animals are fun to see. Brett and Sara are kind and responsive. Already have my next trip booked!
I am beyond impressed with the placed. Everything was amazing. Clean bathroom, communal kitchen and secluded area in the woods for camping. Tiny House is cozy. Bed is good for 2 person to sleep in. Farm animals were super wonderful for my 5 yrs old son and three dogs at the farm soooo adorable. It’s very private and quiet. Highly recommend. It’s just perfect

I had a lovely time!
During the winter the cabin is very cold- I would suggest bringing a 30 degree and below sleeping bag for winter camping!
It helps to have many layers if you want to go on a hike, or hand outside. Slippers for inside is a good idea as well.
Tea light candles were inside the cabin, but I would maybe even bring a lantern!
There’s tons of land to explore, and fun animals to meet and maybe even walk you to your cabin.
The cabin is very private in the back of the apple orchard, this location gave me peace and quiet I needed.

Delightful spot! The new kitchen area is awesome.
Last minute birthday getaway and it was soo worth it! Everyone was so attentive and friendly! There was so many cute dogs, pigs, chickens and peacocks! We also toke out the telescope late night in the orchard and saw amazing stars and after that headed back to our private campsite and had a fire cooked some food and watched hocus locus :) lol …it was perfect! TOTALLY recommend!! THANK YOU!

Absolutely beautiful place! Well thought out, well maintained, lots of signs (very helpful) and just oh so quiet. The cabin we stayed in was cozy and clean. The site was private and peaceful. We got a bit of heavy rain while we were there and stayed dry and warm inside.
We didn't use the common kitchen but checked it out and they definitely had just about everything you would need. Very thoughtful and convenient.
We were the only guests staying at the time so decided to check out the other sites. We actually ended up getting a guided tour by a super friendly dog named Max! He was precious and so considerate. All of the sites were beautiful and very well maintained.
We are very much looking forward to staying again.

It was exactly what we were looking for - quiet time
My dog LOVED running up and down the entire farm & playing with the other dogs, especially Max!
Lots of critters but you are on a farm in a mini forest- once again loved it. Shower, bathroom, and kitchen were all of great help and easy to use.
Would definitely visit again
This was a great private quiet spot. Hosts were very responsive. Their farm fresh food, which you can purchase online and have delivered to the shared kitchen, was delicious. Bed is very comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.
