This campsite is nestled in the deep woods of a 120 acre farm that offers beautiful views coming and going. After being allowed to use the restroom at the stone farmhouse, you will then go rustic and start your 3/4 - 1 mile hike in (approximately 20 minutes to the campsite) past the fields and pond down the path into the woods. The trail is remote and you will instantly be able to leave the sights and sounds of civilization behind you and breath the clean forest air. Wear good hiking shoes because portions of the hike are uneven and rocky. This site is best for experienced campers who know how to pack light with just the essentials as there is no tractor service to this campsite.
When you arrive at the campsite, you will be within 20 feet of a year round stream with brook trout and in a hundred foot tall hemlock canopy nestled between two brook meadows. A 9,000 acre forested preserve abuts our property so you will be able to completely relax, bird watch, enjoy the wildlife, or fish for a brook trout breakfast without hearing the sounds of anyone but yourselves.
The campsite has a stone fire pit, split log benches for seating, a canvas privacy blind around a stand of trees where the composting toilet resides, and a food bag lift to attach your food and trash bags to about 100 yards from the campsite. Split firewood can be purchased as an extra so you don't have to carry any wood in and you can supplement with plenty of dried sticks at the edges of the campsite.

This is such a wonderful place to camp! Jeremy was very easy to get in touch with and very proactive in communicating in advance of our trip. The site was well kept and included a fire pit, table, and benches around the fire pit. There is a compost toilet nearby and cables already set up to hoist food off the ground away from your campsite. Some firewood was provided but I’d recommend spending some time in the daylight to gather lots of twigs and branches for your evening fire. It was VERY easy to find ample wood in the forest surrounding the site. The campsite is a considerable walk from where you park and it’s not all flat and easy terrain. Pack light! Overall, this was a great experience. The hike to and from the campsite was part of the overall allure— just be prepared!
Beautiful nature getaway. You need to hike in over some pretty rocky terrain but it's completely worth it. Very secluded campsite right next to a running stream. Site includes a firepit, compostable toilet, and rope to hang your food away from the bears. Jeremey was sweet enough to last-minute build us a freestanding table and tractor down some of our things because we of course brought way too much beer and snacks :). Jeremey and his family were extremely welcoming and we had a great time!
This site is so beautiful. Extremely private, and tucked deep into the woods along a small stream. We very much enjoyed our stay on Jeremy's land and would absolutely come back. The hike in was perhaps longer than expected, but you could easily spend your whole time at the site, hiking around the property and enjoying the pristine woods. However, lots of great day trips available within an hours drive to hikes/waterfalls/orchards.
It’s a beautiful secluded site!
Super simple. This site is incredibly private and It’s one of the most beautiful campsites I’ve ever been to. Jeremy was super nice, generous, and extremely helpful. He brought our things most of the way to the campsite, as far as he could until some eroded terrain. So better to pack lighter here but it is well worth it whether you do or don’t. I came with my girlfriend and our dog and it was just fantastic. We will certainly be back next year for more camping! Thanks again Jeremy!
Pristine setting, great hike!
The campsite along the brook was a perfect setting for our weekend retreat. The hike to get there was close enough to manage with our packs and gear, but far enough that it felt like an adventure. As inexperienced campers we certainly overpacked - but Jeremy and his son were exceptional hosts helping to bring our Yeti cooler using a tractor. There was enough split wood to keep the fire going all night and the sound of the brook and light of the full moon was so tranquil. We set up a hammock style tent between two perfectly separated trees and had nice flat spaces for 3 other tents. The site is beautifully maintained with grill grate and cast iron pan provided as well as a tree hook for lifting trash and a private composting bathroom. We are already eager to return and enjoy the setting in other seasons. 10/10.
I could ramble for quite some time about how lovely this campsite is, but I'll keep it brief. It's quiet, secluded and absolutely gorgeous. You couldn't ask for a nicer setting - stream side in a lush, mature stand of gorgeous evergreens. The site is well kept and Jeremy and his family are wonderful hosts. Highly recommend!
