Bordering Hanging Bog Wildlife Management Area and Crabb Hollow State Forest this charmed creek laced forest has been in my family for 99 years. Recently turned camp with 8 well spaced sites with fire pits, central deep well potable water. Dishwashing stations and hotwater shower ( available before and after freezing nights are gone, mid May through October). There are also a couple of electrical outlets for charging a phone, blender, hot pot....and a comfy shed to 'hang out' in. We have what you need for comfort. Enjoy central (communal) and/ or individual camp fire pits (rustic wood provided).
BEAWARE: RV's will want to use the somewhat level primary and secondary drive areas (sites 1, 2 or 6 ).
BEAWARE: Site 8 is a walk-in (less than 200 feet, across the creek bridge ) and site 5 is a 100 foot walk from parking area.
You can have privacy or enjoy socialization here. We are truly in the woods well spaced between sites and away from all traffic except very light country road travel.
We (the doggie n I) have cut many beautiful walking trails on the forested hills out back and along the creeks. We sit 1/4 mile (through two meadows and up one tall and one small rise) from three ponds FULL of bass (fishing license required). I love to use the tiny beach at the first pond for a quick cool off swim. For a group swimming or tanning spot try Rushford Lake, where the beautiful little sandy Rushford Lake Public Beach is exactly 3 miles away. (Opened through Labor Day)
Just down the road, two miles, you can put your kayak or canoe in the Hanging Bog or go over to Genesee River access, 6 miles away to paddle or fish. Genesee Valley Greenway Trail is minutes away to go for a nice hike. Wonderful Wiscoy Falls is only about 20 minutes away! Approximately 25 miles in either direction will get you to a great day at Allegany or Letchworth State parks. You may want to take a nature path walks right here so you can hug trees and kiss rocks... or Play In The Creek ! All us kids and kids at heart love to play in the creek! Enjoy a fire in the communal pit or in your own and the firefly show which starts at dusk!
All Cuba area attractions including Cuba Cheese, Garlic Festival, Block Barn, Palmer Opera House, Moonwinks and Cuba Lake are within 10 miles. The superb Amish community and offerings lace the entire area.
I love all the doggies and have a big lab mix, Dino, who thinks all the people and all the other doggies were made to play with him. We understand everyone may not see it that way. Out of respect for everyone lets all keep our dogs somewhat under our control and clean-up after them. All are invited to cross the creek bridge for off leash romps and hikes. If you truly don't like dogs, or if your doggie doesn't like other dogs near by_ this may not be a good choice for you. We love the doggies!! ❤️😁
My Verizon phone and Hotspot work great here. We have Armstrong Internet / Wi/Fi for all. Works best near the cabin or at the electrical outlet station.
This is a quiet nature centered place. Quiet hrs. 10:30 PM - 7AM.
There is a three week maximum stay limit at this time. Only sites 1, 2, 3 and 6 can accommodate larger RV's. Please come on down and enjoy this special spot. Do send any questions.

everything about this experience was incredible. diane is amazing and this camp has everything you could possibly need
Diane's property is beautiful and peaceful! We enjoyed our stay and we weren't on a travel schedule we would have loved to stay another day. Great facilities with a really cute communal area. Campsite was nestled in a beautiful grove of apple trees with a nice fire ring and shady, level spot. If we pass back through the area we will definitely return. Extra points for the friendly K-9 campground ambassador!
My husband and I just love Diane and Dino’s camp! Diane is very helpful in getting you settled in. She’s great at sharing everything she knows about the area so you find plenty to explore. Dino is a great dog and also makes you feel quite welcome! We will definitely visit them again!
My gf and I had a great time here. Diane and Dino were great hosts. Our campsite was perfect and the lack of light pollution allowed us to see the sky light up with stars. We didn't get to fully enjoy the trails and pond on our spot stay but We will be back!!
Just returned from a relaxing three day stay at " the hanging bog" campground. I wedged my small travel trailer easily into one of Diane's drive in sites. This is an enchanting place as you wander the myriad of trails on the 13 (?) acre site. As you walk hidden hike in campsites appear seemingly from nowhere, quiet and discreet. A brook runs through the grounds but was unfortunately dry at the moment. Diane has provided sheltered communal areas and dishwashing facilities for campers and clean porta potty. The well water is very pleasant. Knick knacks of Diane's' abound adding an informal feel. Diane is communitive via text or email and meets you upon arrival to introduce you where you'll stay and how to find the facilities. The " Bog" is a beautiful lily pond covered lake just a couple of miles up the road. Diane cuts plenty of firewood and kindling for your fire. We had plans for lots of activities but just wandered around the forest and sat staring at the fire. I pull a small travel trailer with an SUV. I'm no expert but worth checking ahead with Diane if you have a large trailer or coach. Thank you!
What a great pair we met at this camp! Diane and her doggie Dino were excellent hosts and super fun to have around. Diane was thorough, informative and super helpful and was always there when we had questions. She has thought through every bit to make her camp comfortable for visitors. Our camp area was further back across the pond (our choice) and why a beautiful little nook it was! This place offered us a peaceful experience that we wouldn’t have had in other campsites in the area that are possibly crowded and noisy. Thanks Diane and Dino for such a beautiful experience!
I stayed with my husband and our four boys in our "new to us" pop up camper on Diane's land for three nights over Memorial Day weekend. We had a great time exploring the creek, sitting by the camp fire, and fishing in the ponds. The day we set up camp it was raining which ended up making our spot quite muddy. I had packed everything but boots (!) and Diane was kind enough to loan us some. She was attentive to our needs and even Dino was good about checking on our safety and well being. The shower and toilet were clean and the charging station was a great convenience.
