This cabin has a glassed in porch overlooking the lake, complete with rocking chairs. Loft, open living area and half bath. Bathroom has a composting/camping toilet, and there is an outdoor shower (in a privacy tent). Water containers with pumps provide fresh well water in the kitchen and the bathroom for drinking and washing. The cabin is also equipped with a small refrigerator, a toaster oven, electric kettle, a double burner cooktop and French press. This cabin is cute and funky with lots of charm!
We have puzzles, games, cards etc for those that like to play and a large library of books in our main building that you can borrow during your stay. Wi-Fi is also available in the main building, for checking email, getting directions etc.
We are constantly upgrading and improving our cabin -- new artwork, bedding, general coziness and fun stuff!
Please note, this is a cabin in the woods and there are wild creatures that live here. There is always a chance that one of these small beings can find their way into the cabin, if this is a problem for you please do not book the cabin. We have other listings that may be better suited to your needs. Please contact us about them. We do suggest that you put all food and drink away as leaving these items out can attract creatures to the building.
90 acre Holistic Retreat Center and Organic Farm (Garden of One). Full bath and other amenities in main building, a short walk from the cabin. The cabin is available year round, it has a rocket stove mass heater. Please note: We provide wood for heating the cabin, but it must be chopped down to kindling size for use in the rocket stove. We have a special tool for this that we leave for our guests. Be sure to bring whatever gear you need to be comfortable outside while using it.
Cabin can accommodate up to 5 people, there’s a queen bed, beanbag bed in the loft and a single futon bed. A cot can be set up in the living room area ($20 additional per nite/per extra person over 2) Also, please consider your pet as another person and add $20 per nite for your fur baby!
We are working farm, and sometimes have animals that need short term special care. So you may find a baby chicken, turkey, duck, pig or rabbit nestled in a box or tub inside the main building. Most often you will be able to interact with them but please ask first!
We use all organic and natural cleaning products and methods in all of our rentals, private and public space.
Lovely swim-able private lake, forest & gardens. Canoeing, fishing and hiking available on our property.
Full organic meal plans offered separately (and we are happy to pack a lunch for you if you're going to be out and about) -- can accommodate gluten & dairy free and most specialized diets. Please make arrangements ahead of your stay for any meals you would like us to provide. We also offer picnics (with a real basket and everything!) that you can have on site or take on your travels (again, by prior arrangement).
Sauna, Ionizing Foot Bath and private sessions (massage, reiki, ear coning, health consults and more) also usually available, please ask for our fee schedule and plan ahead.

Quaint Lakeside Cabin was one of the cutest, comfiest cabins my husband and I have yet to stay! This place was magical and Rachel and Bryan were such amazing hosts! The cabin has a beautiful porch with all windows all around it and is right by there lake. In the morning of our stay Gideon and I went out and had a picnic breakfast in their canoe on the lake. We got to hold a 24-hour old goat and we saw 4 baby foxes on a walk, as well as huge gold fish, turtles, many birds and frogs! We ate all our meals outside but they also have a table in side the cabin as well as chairs on the porch that you can eat at! We loved loved loved that there was no wifi or a tv. just us and nature! highly recommend this cabin!

Brian was a great host and we had an amazing time. I wish we had stayed another night. The cabin so cozy and the rocket stove was great once it got warmed up. We definitely want to come back see the property in another season. This property is definitely cabin living, you will be cutting your own wood and washing dishes in bins, don't be intimidated, embrace the experience! The only bummer was that we paid for an hour in the Sauna and it took almost the entire hour just to heat up. Overall beautiful space, great food and great experience. Brian even gave us a jump when my car battery died.

We had a great time at the cozy cabin which had a view of the beautiful lake. Our dog Ziggy loved it too! Brian was extremely kind and he gave us an insightful tour of the compound. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a getaway!

Had such a wonderful stay with Rachel and Brian. They were kind enough to take time out of their busy spring schedule to show us around their property, introduce us to their animals, and make us feel welcomed and perfectly at home. The cabin was really cozy (especially when you have the stove going!) clean, and had it's own little spot on their property far enough away that we had privacy, but close enough that if we needed something we could easily reach our hosts. Can't recommend this place enough!
I can only second all of the positive previous reviews. A charming cabin in a beautiful spot. The pond/lake is a gem, and we enjoyed paddling the canoe out to the center, then just kicking back to take in the sun and listen to an audio book. The cabin is well-enough equipped that you can cook good meals (we had Thai mussels one night, and a cook-up on a grill the next), but keeps it rustic enough that you also get a bit of a camping experience (no running water). It's also super cozy, with a very comfortable bed and a lovely porch with rocking chairs.
Rachel and Brian were welcoming and warm. The cabin was tucked away and private, but their house was close enough that they were easily available as needed.
The surrounding area is lovely - set in rolling hills, and with a modest hike to a waterfall nearby a short drive away.
We had a great time, and would happily return!

The photos and description of this lovely cabin are very accurate, what you see is what you get in the best way possible! You also experience the warmth, style and care that the hosts put into creating this space. The cabin is very clean and well-maintained, the surrounding area is gorgeous and fun to explore and the hosts are very kind and accommodating. Perfect for a quiet weekend away. You can’t go wrong.
Our cabin at Garden of One was the perfect weekend retreat. Rachel was a gracious host and very responsive over messages to accommodate us during our stay (even with a hammock!). The description on HipCamp was super accurate re: amenities and surrounding activities. We visited amidst COVID-19 and everyone wore masks and took appropriate measures to social distance while interacting. The one thing I wish I knew was that the heat system is only used during winter months. The cabin does not get much sunlight through the trees and I wished I had packed more cozy clothes for the ~ still cool ~ mid June weather. Highly recommend a retreat to Garden of One!
