This is ideal for anyone with a Tiny home, RV, camper, or trailer and has solar or generator power. There is also a small wooded area where you can set up tents. When you are on the perch looking out to the mountains, you will see this wooded area all the way to your left. The lots are in a beautiful area with scenic views of the Berkshires and close proximity to Lake Queechy. We’re willing to rent small sections of our land 75 by 75 ft for someone to park a camper, RV or tiny home. If you are tenting, it will be smaller section in the woods away from the gravel perch. Access to new 500ft deep well. The sections available for use have gorgeous views of The Berkshires and access to an outdoor shared fire pit.
Near Chatham, New York where there is a brewery, cheese shop, bakery, restaurants, and a movie theatre. The property is VERY close to the famous Hilltop Orchard as well as Bartlett's Orchard and Balderdash! We are half an hour from Hudson, and in the midst of plentiful Berkshire and Hudson Valley hiking, biking and sightseeing opportunities. The property is 10 mins to/from the Taconic parkway. We are about 2 hours from NYC. 30 mins from Jiminy peak ski resort. 15 minutes to Bousquet Ski Resort. 25 minutes to Catamount Ski Resort. 30 mins to Albany and 15 mins to Pittsfield, MA. There is a great local bar on queechy lake. 15 min to a dispensary in Pittsfield, MA. The beautiful Hancock shaker village is a great activity for families in the spring as you will be able to see all of the baby animals.

Site was easy to access and quiet. Watching the sun rise over the Taconics was awesome. We will be coming back with more of our family. Great site for winter camping.
Absolutely loved the location. There was so much to do in the surrounding area and the site is super well equipped with stunning views. Be forewarned that the climb to the site is steep. We had trouble getting our 32 ft Trailer up
The hill. I would recommend 4 wheel drive if you have a large trailer. All in all, highly recommend!

Beautiful views and a secluded setting. What more could you want? Backwoods Bin was very responsive to our questions. Having well water available was a real plus.
We stayed for 2 nights at this campground and it was absolutely beautiful. Even with the cloudy weather we had, the view was stunning and we were able to see the colors of fall.
Host: 10/10. Constant contact happened day of to make sure we knew exactly how to get there, who we were sharing the site with (A+ for safety!), and which site would work best based off of how we were camping (in a tent). The host also checked in on the last day to ask how our stay was which was thoughtful. We will definitely return.
View: 10/10. Think of it like something out of a painting. I highly recommend going in the fall to experience the beautiful yellows, oranges, and greens of the trees.
Wildlife: 5/10. While I give this a 5/10 (I'm scared of coyotes), it was pretty cool to know that they didn't disturb the homes of our harmless wildlife as a bear and coyote (not at the same time) came through on their way to who knows where. If you don't mess with wildlife, they will not mess with you :)
Area attractions: 11/10. There is truly something for everyone. Do you like hiking? Head out to Bash Bish falls or Taconic state park (quite literally can park in one place and explore both areas). We did 2 hikes in a single day. According to Google maps there are tons more hiking areas. If you like apple picking (Fall), there are many places to choose from starting with one only 5 minutes away! Like wine or cider? The orchard closes to the site has wine and cider tasting with some of the best cider we've had at an orchard. Don't forget to try the donuts!
There is much to explore within 5-30 minutes drive of the campsite (too many to list here).
Cleanliness: 10/10 the site is very clean and well cared for.
Firewood: if you need firewood, there's a farm 5 minutes away that sells it for $6 a bundle (very generous bundles at a reasonable price). It is across from the farm stand. Park on the street, put your blinkers on, and walk into the barn area. Cash only.

Will definitely be going back! My girlfriend and I went on a weekend getaway to hike in Massachusetts at Bash Bish Falls and to explore local towns in NY and right over the boarder in Massachusetts. The campground was perfect, was nice and secluded, and made us feel we were in the middle of nowhere. A steep grade to drive up so definitely have 4wheel drive, but once on the plot you have so much room to set up and an awesome fire pit that looks out into the Berkshire forest. We sat out by the fire for hours chatting, watching the stars, and listening to nature. It was 30 minutes from Bash Bish, 35 minutes from Great Barrington, and close to many other hiking trails and national parks. -bring drinking water
-find alternatives for bathroom use
-there are 2 lots so be respectful when setting up
-bring cots if using tent (rocky terrain)
-solar energy or generator (but again be mindful of other guests)
-motion sensing lights run the driveway

Could not have asked for a better site. Easy to get to, our host was responsive and talked us all the way to the site over the phone, and we were able to pay for wood when we got there using Venmo.
The driveway laid with a crushed rock, and is a bit steep - we got up it on the second try in a ( not capable at all ) rwd '06 Ford Econoline rv. The drive is lined with motion sensor lights which light up the whole area if need be. The sites were level - and just smooth enough to be bearable with a good sleeping pad if in a tent.
100% Would stay here again.
