Private driveway in the woods leads up a hill to three fabulous, secluded, country-setting camping locations with incredible views. Hay fields in front of you with woods behind you, you'll have peace and quiet in total seclusion but are only 5 minutes from downtown historic Greenwich village with diners and shops and a CVS. (The “Stewarts” gas station and market has firewood bundles! ) Camping locations have no ammenities but are cleared with mowed grass and have firepits. Pitch tent or bring RV, you'll enjoy yourself and the wildlife around you. Site 1 and 2 are adjacent to woods, site 3 is a wide-open-field site (great RV site) with the best panoramic and sunset view. There is camp wood for fires in various spots on the property (40 acres) that campers are welcome to but you might want to bring some of your own as well. Also, the coded entrance gate will be open for your reservation date so no additional call is required. UPDATE...driveway regraded for easy access for all vehicles now. Can still be a little soft after a rain. Call or text me anytime if you need anything. UPDATE: site #2 now has small cute, cozy cabin (12x30) on the edge of woods with VIEW!!! with 2 twin beds, eating table and chairs and a covered porch with chairs (with nice new mattresses-bring your own pillows, sheets and blankets or sleeping bags-$99/nite) available starting June 1st. Five star multi hilltop view. If you like the sound of birds, cows in the distance, or the site of a moon rise over the hills, sunrise over the farmstead, the spot is for you. I have my own water and bathroom so the amenities aren’t important to me. But the view always is, it never ceases to entertain. Good firing. Happy place! I have an all-wheel-drive Ford transit and made it up the dirt road fine. Can’t imagine it would pose a challenge for any vehicle.
Will be back again and again!
Another beautiful weekend at Archale Meadows. The leaves were not completely turned yet, but the stars and the sky were equally beautiful and peaceful. Just love it here!
The pictures on Hipcamp definitely don’t do this setting justice. There’s an absolutely beautiful view, overlooking farms with cows roaming, situated high on a hill. We were at #2 but both other sites appear to have amazing views as well. There was a nice stack of firewood and we had a great campfire under the stars. The driveway to get to the site was a little rocky and steep but manageable for our van. The town of Greenwich is cute with shops and cafes but also grocery store and hardware etc. We will definitely return!!!
GORGEOUS spot, such a pretty view. Everything was clearly marked, and the chairs were appreciated. I’d say 4 wheel drive is helpful to get up the hill, but I was able to get up it with front wheel drive only okay.
Amazing find, and nearby Greenwich village is super cute too!
We had a very pleasant stay. The view from the site (#3) was wonderful, and the host had left a nice supply of firewood for us. We did not really interact with the host, but the directions to the site that were provided ahead of time were very clear, as were the sign on-site. Definitely a place to return whenever we find ourselves close to Saratoga Springs again.
