Named "The Island" as when we have a lot of rain or our catchment areas do, we get a rise in the river and it creates an island. For this reason "The Island" is 4WD access only and is subject to us offering you a different campsite, if "The Island" is at risk of being cut off.
Access to the toilet is available on request or you're welcome to bring your own camping toilet and shower.

We had 2 nights at the river flat 1 site and absolutely loved it. My 2 girls loved the friendly foal. The river views, privacy and seclusion were a standout. The river was also fun for floating down which was easily accessible from the campsite and there are many spots to choose from. Lynell and David were very friendly hosts and even dropped down some dry firewood after a stormy night.
