Park up on the tree-studded high ridge, with sweeping views over valley farmland below. Connect with nature and enjoy time away from busy city life. Enjoy bird watching, bushwalking, relaxing or go mountain biking on road to camp and adventuring in local area. The camping site is on the grassy verge in front of our Bush Cabin (not currently in use). Only 12 minutes from Glenreagh township, general store, Golden Dog Pub and the Railway Museum. Travel a few minutes further to the East to the Sherwood Nature Reserve and bushwalk to the stunning "Scouts Waterfalls." Drive a few minutes to the west of camp and discover the "1260" Flora Reserve in the Bagawa State Forest, and have lunch at the relaxing picnic area. If your 4WD-ing, ask more regarding access to the historic Dorrigo to Glenreagh train line and tunnels or simply relax and explore the Bush Camp location. No toilet facilities so must be self-contained, small contained fires allowed in rocky allocated pits. BYO power, generators are allowed and gas cooking. Note on campfires: They must be fully extinguished when not attended - BYO water for this, and campfires are only permitted according to NSW fire permit regulations. If unsure, please check with us first. Pets welcome but please keep contained or on leash!

Timbertop Tranquility Bush Camp
Quiet, peaceful, refreshing
Timbertop was exactly what we needed. Quiet, pretty bush location where we could spend time with our dogs and not too many others around. The host was super lovely to chat to. The site was mowed for us. Communication from enquiry to booking was wonderful. The site is close to the road, but there were only 3 or 4 cars that went past each day, so it was still super quiet and the dogs loved being taken for a walk up the dirt road. Waking up on the chilly mornings to hear the birds chirping in the trees was refreshing and the campfire at night helped with the crisp temps!
