700 acres of free range camping on the outskirts of the picturesque town of Murrurundi. There are a number of cleared, mowed and level sites on the property to chose from - dam side, valley views, between the trees. We ask that you don't camp in site of other campers to ensure the privacy and enjoyment of everyone.

On the property you can enjoy scenic bushwalks, a seasonal creek, a large dam and plentiful native wildlife including kangaroos, deer, birdlife and more.

The lower area of the property around the entrance is accessible by 2WD, however if you wish to explore beyond the creek you will need a 4WD. The street leading to the property is gravel and the access to the campsites is mowed grass tracks.

Fires are permitted in designated areas and firewood is available for an additional fee of $20.

Depending on where you set up camp, you can walk or drive into the quaint village of Murrurundi. Situated on the New England Highway, Murrurundi is 30 minutes drive from Scone, 1 hour from Tamworth and 3 hours from Sydney. A picturesque town, nestled on the eastern side of the Great Dividing Range and boasts natural beauty, rich farming land and plenty of character. In town you'll find the recently opened Magpie Gin Distilery, art galleries (including Michael Reid and award winning David Darcy), pubs and historic buildings. The King of the Ranges Stockmans Challenge is held annually in May .

A two minute drive away is the Eye of the Needle, Burning Mountain Nature Reserve is 15 minutes down the New England Highway and the Timor Caves are just 30 minutes away.

There are no facilities here, so you will need to be self contained with your own toilet, and leave no trace when you go.

Dogs are permitted if they are well trained and do not chase wild life or bark excessively.

We are new to hosting and Temple Court is a work in progress, we appreciate your feedback on your stay.

We highly recommend staying here if you are wanting to get away from it all!
It was so nice staying next to a flowing river with plenty of firewood and walking tracks slashed all through the property with wild Deer scattered throughout. Very cool experience.
Amanda’s communication was excellent and her father Royce welcomed us and showed us our options as to where to camp, he was a great fella and a wealth of local knowledge and just one of those people who will always make you smile when you think back to chatting with them.
They have an amazing property with great access and we will definitely come back again.

Really nice location and very friendly hosts. I think there were others camping there as well over the Easter weekend but the property is so big we never saw another soul. We camped by the 1st dam which is closer to the town. There is a freight rail through the town that you can hear from this site but i imagine it wouldn’t be heard further into the property. As it was, it wasn’t a bother in our spot and is mostly drown out by the frogs, birds and other wildlife in the surrounding bush.
The town is a short drive or long walk and has some nice shops and child and pet friendly pub with an outdoor beer garden.

We asked for a spot by our self's and got just that, no one in eye or ear shot. Great spot large cleared area and super friendly hosts. Seen heaps of wide life including a lot of deer. There was a little bit of Train nose one night but not enough to worry us.

Great location just out of town. We were given a secluded campsite and were able to have a camp fire. Views of the mountains were superb.
