Our time at this property could only be better if the weather was a little nicer.
Liz was very helpful in accommodating our group of 20 allowing us to occupy the whole Bookookarara Creek Paddock for an 18th Birthday camp, and even brought down a small gift and offered to put up balloons.
An experience not to be missed.
I don`t wish to do this as I want to be selfish and not want to share such a wonderful place but, " WOW" what a stay. Liz is a real gem and goes out of her way to ensure your stay is as memorable as it could be. Nothing but phase for Liz and her family and her patch of paradise. We spent 7 days at a creek side site and we had the run of the place to ourselves, enjoying the abundant wildlife ( Black Cockatoos, Kangaroos, Blue Wrens, Water Dragons and of course our privilege and rare opportunity to witness Platypus in the evenings most days was an absolute hoot. If you wish to enjoy nature and get away from the hoards this is the place to go. Great temperatures and a terrific outdoor experience, cannot rate " Stonepine Ridge" highly enough.
A new favourite!
We absolutely fell in love with Bookookarara Creek and the Stonepine Ridge property. The site was on the bank of the creek, which was picturesque and peaceful. It was great to have space between the camp sites - we felt like we were able to get away from it all.
Liz was helpful, welcoming and compassionate for when it was raining (we are so grateful for the hot chocolate).
This is a magic spot. We will definitely be back!
Amazing camping. we will be back,
We just got home from a great 5 day stay at Stonepine Ridge. Our spot down by the creak was amazing. We had a lovely flat spot right next to the bubbling Bookookarara Creek,. Our nearest neighbors were maybe 50m away, and we really felt like we had the creak to ourselves. There are only 4 sites down by the creak and it would be easy to forget others were down there. We were lucky we had the whole area to ourselves for 4 days. We had a lovely flat "beach" between us an the creak that gave us room to spread out. Our own set of rapids made it fun for the kids. Two logs across the creak gave our little explorers (8 and 11) so many options to get out and about. The rolling hills gave us good reason to jump on the mountain bikes and follow the track up to Rory's lookout - we never made it up there at dawn but that's on the list for next time. The bush toilets were clean and the place is so quiet and spread out you could claim it as your own .
Elizabeth (the host) was lovely host, both friendly and helpful. We all fell in love with her beautiful dog Charlie who loved to play with the kids. We will be back.
We stayed along the creek, stunning spot very private. Beautiful property, Liz was very welcoming and gave us some ideas for day trips. Drop toilet very clean. Great spot for a few days R and R!
