Lovely spot for a break
We had a fantastic time at Shady Acres, the location is beautiful and Lisa is a gracious and helpful host. We arrived a week after the site had been 16m under water in the biggest floods NSW has experienced in decades, so all the beautiful grass was covered in sand, which made things dirtier than normal but not the end of the world. No doubt the grass will grow back in time and when it does we will definitely be back.
The shower and toilet facilities were a very welcome surprise, almost too good for a camping trip, first class.
There is heaps to do in the area and my only regret is we may have spent too much time hanging around the campfire instead of adventuring.
The location is great. Very nice and clean bathroom with hot water shower available. Good access to colo river. Very accomodating and allowing flexible check in and checkout. Overall a great experience.
Terrific place to camp
The stay was very relaxing away from all the noise and traffic Enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and the wide open space. The host Lisa was very approachable and helpful in every way .
Fun family weekend
We stayed for the weekend with 4 other families. There was plenty of green grass for the kids to run around and they also enjoyed venturing down to the river for a splash and play around in the raft that Lisa kindly lent us. Lisa was great a great host and the new toilets/hot shower were a treat. Look forward to returning soon.
We really enjoyed our stay at Lisa’s , plenty of space on a beautiful property . Great place to stay if you’re planning a cider tasting tour in nearby Bilpin or just want to relax in a nice and private camping spot .
