Misty Mountain is a stunning wooded property in a small enclave of farmland in the middle of the beautiful Morton National Park.

There are a number of campsites to choose from that can accommodate smaller and larger groups. Beautiful bore water available for drinking - bore is in one spot you can collect the water from there and some sites have stunning views to the coast.

Camp Site A is a large level area towards the bottom of the farm - it is a sheltered spot, protected by a hill on one side and trees on three sides - this area is suited for large groups of family and friends - there's lots of room.

Camp Site B is perfect for a smaller group - it is super protected and secluded with a beautiful view out to the bay - there are some flat spots for tents.  best for 4WD although with good weather a 2WD can get in.

Our Dam available for swimming - we have a 3.5 megalitre dam  - the LHS hole (when facing downhill )  is suitable for jumping in - the others have fish homes in them.

Misty Mountain Farm is close to Tianjara Falls where there is great walk and boulder hop to a swimming hole.

This is a fantastic area for exploring through the natural beauty of the protected Remnant Robertson Forest - lots of wildlife around - Eastern Grey Kangaroo, Red Neck Wallaby, Wombats, Koalas live in the area too and many smaller marsupials.

Many day walks in the National Park - make Misty Mountain Camping your base

Campfires welcome and firewood available - either buy some from us or cut your own. BYO camping toilet and take all rubbish/waste with you.  Pets are welcome on leads.

A wonderful property in the small town of Sassafras, close to Nerriga pub. Marie is a fantastic host and has provided everything anyone needs for a comfortable stay. Easy access onto a dirt road around the property, accessible for 2wd and caravan/trailer. A flat area to park, close to the small dam, and potable water available.

We stayed down the bottom at “site b” which is probably more suitable for a 4wd. Our Landcruiser handled it fine after a little rain. We had ample space to ourselves and Marie has recently had some areas slashed. We were left alone with our dogs, had a nice big fire and enjoyed the peace and quiet. There is plenty of fallen wood around which we were aloud to access ourselves, but Marie also has a large stock pile of split wood up the top of the property which is very handy for the cold nights!

We had a wonderful time at Misty Mountain and would definitely recommend this awesome property. Thank you Marie :)

Lovely views and a good spot midway between Braidwood and the coast. Found a small level spot above site 1 which suited our 4x4 campervan. Our pup enjoyed a walk around the tracks.
