We stayed on a long weekend coming from Canberra. The drive from Canberra took around 3.15 hours as per google maps via Cooma and Bega.

Arriving at night the front gate was easily found on google maps as per the Hipcamp link. Coming through the gate it was a little unclear which way to drive (go straight and follow the poles, which are easily seen in the day but could be made better to see via some reflectors). However, the host came out and found us and was very happy to assist us finding the camp site.

Our site (#4) was easily found using the direction on the ground once in the 'driveway' of the property.

The site was level. Two areas are possible. I recommend the further site which is under trees and nearer to the toilets.

The toilets were VERY clean and did not smell, despite being composting. Toilet paper was readily available.

There was a dry creek behind our site. Our young boys enjoyed playing with the stones/rocks in the shade.

There are a number of sites on the property with many families. However, I believe that no-one was within 2 acres of each other (except area #2) and the site felt private and not at all congested. The far #4 site could hold 4 families in camper trailers easily.

There are good campsites all across the site. Campsite #2 on the grounds seemed busier, but I am not sure if this was a cheaper option. It was also a bit exposed to the sun for some sites.

I would go again, but maybe try campsite #10 which is in a valley. Camp #4 seemed one of the better areas but generally all are nice.

There were loads of birds, frogs, monitors, butterflies (and flies by the end of the trip).

No issues with safety or loud music at night.

Response from Meredith, the Host, on October 7th, 2020

Hi Michael Glad you enjoyed your stay, and thanks for your detailed review. You arrived on the first day the new entry track was in use - it was just grassy paddock! After a few days now a track is obvious but I will add some more signage for night time arrivals, thanks for the suggestion. And yes we will add more bins : ) It might not be obvious on Hipcamp but I have many campsites ranging from the lowest cost 2. Creek Bank Campground with up to 10 bookings in 3 acres, right up to very secluded sites such as 5. Secluded Aphitheatre and 10. Secluded Corner where only 1 booking is accepted for a private 5 to 10 acres. 4. Creekside where you stayed is in between : ) Glad you were happy with the composting toilet we completed just before the long weekend. Thanks Regards Meredith
