Lochlomond Campsites

1000 acres of diverse country, from rugged hills, cleared ares, dams, and seasonal creeks. Many places to camp - choose something hidden and remove or base camp near the big dam and BBQ.
Lots of nice areas to choose from. My favourite spot is near the big dam but you might like a more private site away from everyone. Check-in and check-out time is flexible just ask.

The main camping area is has a gas BBQ and good access for swimming and fishing in the spring-fed dam. The dam is stocked with fish (yellow belly are currently 12-14 inches long at the moment). I supply a couple of boats to use (strictly MUST use life jackets). Lots of fairy lights up the trees - a very pretty spot.
Access is good, it's a good dirt road via the last 13km and good for all types of vehicles to access the property - where you decide to go once you're ON the property is up to you (4WD recommended for some remote areas but most areas access 2WD).
There's a man cave with a bit of shelter for bad weather and a basic bush toilet.
Dog friendly, must be well controlled.
Campfires permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place. Please ask before lighting a fire. I sell good hardwood for campfires by the wheelbarrow load

Great camping, very quiet and relax
Greg was a great host. On arrival he met with us and showed us a few spots to choose from. We chose a beautiful spot on top of a hill looking out over trees and gullies.
Plenty of tracks to explore around the property as well as a few dams with a main community dam which was setup with a BBQ and canoes etc to have a bit of fun.
Most spots on property are accessable with a 2wd and other less easy spots accessable with a 4wd. We got out 4wd and camper into the more desolate area without a problem.
After spending 5 days there can definitely recommend Lochlomond. We took our dog who also loved it!
Thanks Greg, we will be back!
It was so peaceful and my dogs loved to be able to be off lead and play in our camp area without having to worry about other campers being close.
Had a wonderful time exploring the dam and walking the hills and enjoying the views, and then settling by the campfire with drinks and damper…

Lochlomond was a great little camping spot. Nice, quiet and peaceful. Will definitely return another again in the not to distant future.

Our family of four enjoyed three relaxing nights near the dam. A few other campers and one small group, but they were there for the peace and quiet too! Each spot appears well spread from the others, with others on the property reasonably remote.
Near the dam was a bit hard to level the 14" camper in a spot that provided full sun for the roof top solar; but we managed. Further out the back (5min walk) is a large, open, green and level area for those not seeking proximity to the dam or toilet.
Not a lot of wildlife noise or activity. Kids enjoyed their time 'disconnected'.

Awesome off-grid spot! Nice and level and cleared with heaps of room. Couldn’t ask for much more. Dog friendly was a huge plus too!

Google maps took us right to the farm gate, easy to find. Camping on Gregory’s farm was wonderful. We were 3 families (15 people and 2 dogs) we could see or hear no one else (and no one could hear us). Beautiful, hilly farmland, a great place to camp.
Peaceful and worth the drive.
Some signage would have been helpful. For the front gate and the location of the potable water tap.
Picturesque camping, plenty of space and a very friendly host all led to a great weekend escape!
