Morisset just 10kms away and 7 kms from the M1 motorway.

There is plenty to do in the Morisset area including visiting the pretty Gap Creek Falls in the Watagans National Park or kayaking around beautiful Lake Macquarie, Australia’s largest coastal saltwater lake.

Set on the western foreshore of Lake Macquarie, which has the bush in its backyard. Find a patch of shade for a picnic in Lake Macquarie State Conservation Area where you can spot kangaroos and other wildlife. The saltwater lake is a haven for sea turtles and dolphins and you might see sea eagles and kookaburras, too.

Thanks for the Kind words Greg, Your my first camper on the Summit Ridge. Good to see you found plenty of Fire wood in doing so you helped in clearing the land before the bushfire season. Thank you for leaving the place the way you found it. Nice and clean your welcome anytime.

What a fantastic stay. The place is stunning and Les is always there to help. Boris, the giant dog is so docile and sweet, we loved it. Phone reception is hit and miss but who needs data when you are in such a beautiful place?

Les has a beautiful property and a very friendly dog. Heavy rain meant limited access to some of the camp sites, however, we still enjoyed our time at Fern Gully.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Fern Gully. It's a lovely farm full of trees and ferns as well as clear grass areas. There were only 3 other camping groups who we couldn't see at all from our very private spot in the trees. We made a fire both nights (and Les had lots of wood we could use), and took our dog who loved roaming around. We met the chickens, and the resident dog Boris who is huge, but super friendly and gentle. We drove to the coast both days to swim, about 45 minutes each way. There are no facilities at the camp but that didn't bother us, we took everything with. Les was very friendly and helpful, we felt really welcome. It was the Easter weekend and there was unfortunately a party that went into the early hours on a nearby farm but what can you do, thats life! Our second night was tranquil bliss :D
