'La Paloma' is a farm located close to Cowra and Wyangala Dam.

La Paloma boasts spectacular views down the valley and of surrounding granite hills.

Take a walk up the hill to take in the gorgeous scenery and watch the breath-taking sunrises and sunsets!

Say hi to our resident sheep! We have two flocks of gorgeous Merino and first cross ewes enjoying the delicious pastures.

There is lots of native bird life to see here, with Superb Parrots, Blue Wrens, Cockatoos, Rosellas, Wedge Tail Eagles and of course, Doves (hence the property name, La Paloma).

Wake up to see the mob of kangaroos bounding up the hill.

Make sure to pop over to Wyangala Dam (14 min) for a fish or take part in some watersports. Or even head down the road to Elliotts lookout over the Dam for some incredible views! We can even provide under cover boat storage if you want to bring your boat with you for some fun on the lake!

In spring, enjoy the beautiful blossoming fruit trees. You can even visit Sakura Matsuri, the Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival in Cowra late September! Year round, enjoy the tranquillity and landscapes of the Japanese Gardens and Cultural Centre in Cowra (14 min). The gardens act as a monument of peace and reconciliation between two countries after the largest Prisoner Of War breakout in modern military history.Cowra's rich history can be explored at the Cowra POW Campsite and various other historical sites around town.

Make sure to end your night around a great campfire! We have a designated campfire area and complimentary firewood in a wood shed close by. Roast some marshmallows and take in the starry night sky.

Property has a gorgeous brand new stand-alone bathroom building with 2 toilets, a hot water shower and sink. PLEASE KEEP THIS CLEAN AND TIDY. There are cleaning products under the sink as we cannot always be there to keep it clean. There is also an undercover table for use in the shearing shed but please BYO chairs. PLEASE ALSO TAKE ALL RUBBISH WITH YOU.

Please make sure to follow COVID-19 guidelines by washing and sanitising hands especially when using shared areas.

Pick a camp site in the middle aisle around the sheds, bathroom block and driveway OR in our top hill paddock (if gates are open) to take in the views. You are welcome to camp anywhere in the paddock - please note these sites are only accessible on foot, please do not drive into the paddock. No fires in the paddock please, there is a communal campfire spot available.

We can accommodate RVs on the granite parking pads near the bathroom block. Electricity is available on the power pole near the bathroom block.

Note the ground off the driveway and parking pads can get very wet and boggy so to avoid getting bogged please try to stick to the driveway as much as possible.

Drinking water is the tank water from the tap on the side of the shed near the silos.

Really enjoyed our stay! There was firewood available but unfortunately we couldn't cut it, aside from that, the amenities were great and we'd recommend this stay 👍

Loved the farm. Beautiful views on the hill and kids enjoyed exploring. Hosts we're great. They were very friendly and accommodating. The set up of the shower/toilet is a welcome addition. We had the place to ourselves for most of our stay. If others camp there you may be fairly close to others which is something to consider.
Plenty to do in the area 15 mins away

The campsite was nice and peaceful .... the toilets and shower were great (seemed like they had only recently been built). Waking up next to the Sheep and Alpacas was an experience. We'd recommend this camping spot to anyone looking to stay in and around Cowra, it was ~20 minutes from Cowra.

It's a beautiful spot with nice views, especially sunset from the hill right behind the camping area.
The hosts, Steph and Jeremy are amazing - friendly and passionate about what they do.
Great amenities. The toilets and shower are new and very clean. The nicest i have ever seen in a camping spot.
Potable water and plenty of firewood were provided.

All the best Steph and Jeremy. Looking forward to visiting again.

We loved our farm camping and having the freedom to cook on our own open fire. Beautiful surroundings with the opportunity to see farming in action and enjoy the outdoors. Fabulous hosts who were friendly and accommodating and allowed us to have our own space and slice of paradise.

La Paloma was a great place to camp.
I was given a sheltered spot to pitch my tent, and the property is located in a stunning valley.

My dog and I camped under the pear tree and enjoyed the peace and scenery. Fantastic shower/toilet facilities. The nearby animals were interested in my dog. Thankfully she ignored the attention. Highly recommended place to camp.
