Offered on the Host's property or nearby.

There are bush tracks nearby for mountain biking.

Flathead and bream are the main targets. Loads of mullet but they are not as good to eat.

Several short bush tracks nearby but we can also recommend many National Parks walks in the area.

We run guided kayak tours (Kiah Wilderness Tours) or you can bring your own. The river is perfect for kayaks.

The river is great to swim in and there are several nearby surf beaches.

Wildlife watching

Wombats and wallabies are frequently seen at dawn and dusk. Plenty of birdlife as well.

Natural features you'll find at Riverfront Site in New South Wales.

No prairies in Australia - but some nice paddocks nearby :)

Our property adjoins the Towamba river (or Kiah River as we locals call it).

Swimming hole

Fantastic swimming in the river. Some deep sections, some shallow for little kids.

Plenty of birds in nearby wetlands.

As usual a lovely peaceful place to stay. The kookaburras are early risers :P and the baby magpies were hopping around our swags chirping to themselves, so relaxing. Lying in the swag watching the eagles coasting on the wind. Loads of wood, the river a bit chilly but the kids went in anyway :)

Pleasant grassy spot with a good fireplace and plenty of wood. Enjoyed the birds in the morning. Lovely river, but the camping experience would be much greater if the camping paddock was more open with views to the river which was hidden out of sight from our tent.

It's always a pleasure staying at the Wilderness Camp. Jenny and Arthur take pride in their property, which shows with how well maintained the grounds and facilities are. The river was beautifuly clear, sadly no fish, but still fabulous for a paddle. See you again real soon!

Jenny has a paradise at Eden! A large grassed flat area to choose where to pitch the camper, alongside the most pristine swimmable river (wade to beach at low tide) with bellbirds and maggies calling from surrounding bush all day, fresh water from a tank, fire pit and wood. Quite, private, sublime.
