"Jindalee" is located on a 500 acre property, 26kms east of Glen Innes on the headwaters of the Severn River, home to a number of platypus. Being situated only 2kms off the Gwydir Highway, access is very easy. Please call Bob for directions prior to arriving- 0409 155 147. We are 40kms from Gibraltar Range National Park, pet friendly, and offer secure camping and a place to leave your pets so you can explore the area. We offer a pet minding service during the day for a small fee for those who want to visit the National parks. There is a bitumen road to the boundary and then an all weather gravel road to the site. The camping site is beside the river with one prepared granite parking area and a number of mown spots for you to select from. We offer campfire pits and free wood - limited amount collected beside each fire pit and you can collect yourself for free. There is abundant wildlife, including Platypus and a pleasant track along the river, wandering in among the granite rocks, to a picnic place.

Great communication from the beginning til the end of our stay. Lovely quiet grassy site, drop toilet was a bonus! Beautiful walks amongst nature, lovely cool evenings by a campfire! Total relaxation! Bob was extremely helpful and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed! Would recommend Jindalee to everyone!

Jindalee River Camp Site 1
Great little spot, nice and quiet. Our two dogs enjoyed the cattle tracks on our walks that found some nice hideaway spots.

Jindalee Bush Camp Site 1
Lovely bush retreat
We loved the cool temperatures of the region and the close proximity to the 'river', which is more like a creek (truth be told). We saw lots of birds and other wildlife and enjoyed the many walks across the property through bushland with lots of large rocky outcrops. Will definitely return when in the area - a gem of a place!

Jindalee River Camp Site 1
The campsite was very clean and flat, private and close to the river. Bob met with us on arrival to take us to the site where he had firewood stacked ready for us. 14 degrees at night and hot summer days made for the best of both worlds...swimming in the national park during the day and sitting around the campfire at night (was sweating day and night at home in Brisbane). Bob was very respectful of our privacy while also checking in on us from time to time in case we needed anything. Willow came to say hello with Bob and shes just the cutest, faithful little working dog. Plenty of space for our hounds to run around too which they loved. On the wildlife front we saw lots of kangaroos, wallabies, possums, frogs, a quoll, an echidna, a wedge-tailed eagle and a few deer passing through. A good healthy ecosystem and all within 100m of the campsite. I thoroughly recommend taking the time to walk both sides of the river, just follow the trails.

Jindalee River Camp Site 1
This exceeded our expectations by far! So easy to access and their hospitality was above and beyond. Was so nice to have bob show us around and give us options to camp. Although the creek was dry due to rainfall it was an amazing short walk for our dog and the scenery was beautiful

Jindalee River Camp Site 1
We really enjoyed our stay at Jindalee. So peaceful in a lovely bush setting that we had to ourselves. Drop toilet was the best loo with a view we have ever used. We were welcomed by Bob and Willow and given lots a helpful information about the area. Very central to National parks and the old Grafton road which was amazing.
