This private campsite is located just outside of the township of Nundle near a semi-permanent creek and is a great base for exploring Nundle area, the Hanging Rock Lookout and Nundle State Forest.
The spacious area suits self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water supply. It is accessible by tar road and available to only one group of campers at the time. There is abundance of firewood and a choice of nice spots.
For fit hikers, there is a steep walk via a crown land stock reserve that will take you up to the top and into the State forest.
The lookout offers a scenic vantage point with excellent views of the Nundle valley below. Sheba Dams in the Hanging Rock village is a good spot for swimming and fishing, as well as a family outing with picnic and barbecue facilities in a bush setting abundant with trees, birds, lizards, wallabies and pademelons.
The State Forest is regarded as good fossicking country with gold, zircons, sapphires and other semi-precious stones to be found.
The village of Nundle is nearby for all your supplies.
This is a working farm and occasionally there is cattle in the camping paddock. Let me know in advance if you are coming with dogs and if cattle are an issue, I can move them to another area.

Awesome spot to camp while exploring beautiful Nundle. Host was easy to deal with and had loads of firewood and space. We will be back for sure.

We had a great stay in our campervan on Alena’s property - no complaints at all! There was plenty of firewood and best of all had the whole site to ourselves!

Thank you Dennis. Just to clarify, I sent these guys and their kelpies camping in the back valley which is very private, rather than the usual spot in the front paddock. The back valley is only accessible by a 4x4.
