Floods update: Despite recent repeated events, the property is great and most sites are grassy and dry. Lower levels nearer the water are still a little damaged from repeated floods and the river is running a little higher and faster than usual. Children and dogs must be kept close at all times. Great for kayaking!! The valley is still it’s beautiful self, just be mindful of damages to the local roads and take it slow. 2wd accessible 😀

We would like to share our beautiful property nestled in the Colo Valley with cleared grassy paddocks, some shady areas and our PRIVATE access to the Colo River, one of the most pristine rivers in NSW. Our river access is normally shallow, well suited to young families or those who just want to lay back and enjoy a quiet refreshing dip with a beverage or two. Amazing sunrises, sunsets and star gazing provided free of charge along with bird watching, local wildlife and horses in surrounding paddocks ;)

Pricing is $40 per site which includes one person. Up to 11 Extra people can be accommodated on each site at $30 per adult and $20 per child. If you'd like to book the whole property you are more than welcome. Contact host for any questions.

We have limited sites to comply with NSW Camping legislation and Hipcamp guidelines and to enable campers to experience the Colo as it should be, listening to the beautiful wildlife and really appreciating the outdoors.

Pets allowed on a case by case basis, speak with Hosts :)

Dogs - $20 each on approval of host. Dogs to be contained at all times and respectful of others campers, dogs, wildlife and livestock.

There is no mobile reception or internet access therefore provides the true off-grid retreat. Self sufficient campers preferred.

There are fire drums available for use or you're welcome to bring your own subject to RFS bush fire danger ratings on the day.

There are three communal flushing toilets and one awesome hot water shower! ;)

ALL waste is to leave with you!

We have kayaks available for hire and we are happy to help transport you if you wish to have a paddle or float down the river providing the river is high enough to do so.

There are local bush walks through National Parks and great places for mountain bike riding although I'd be mindful of holiday traffic in peak times on our local dirt roads. We have a local guide that may be available to take you on guided walks so you can truly experience the valley at its best without the worry of knowing where to go. Get in touch with the host to arrange a walk.

The local shop, Colo Riverside is open 4 days a week just 10kms up the road providing last minute supplies, ice, bottle shop and cafe services.

Please note: Due to our location bookings may be cancelled at short notice in times of bad weather due to flooding, limited access, fire or flood warnings. We trust you will understand we are only looking out for your safety and of course Hipcamp credits will be arranged.

Such a beautiful place. Excellent facilities and plenty of space for everyone. Yara is a great host, wonderfully friendly and even brought us beers when we ran out! LEGEND.

We had a great camp at DeView. If you follow the instructions Yara provides, you won't have any issues finding to place. The bag of fire wood was some of the best wood I have bought from HipCamp, thank you. Lots of wide open flat grassy spaces. We were in a small tent, but camper trailers and vans would fit here easily. Thank you

Beautiful spot, perfect for our group! Well kept campsite, close to ammenities, plenty of shade and river a short stroll away. Yara was so friendly and helpful in answering our many questions, really appreciate all the time she took to make sure things went smoothly for us. Definitely will be back!

Beautiful spot on the Colo River with good facilities and nice flat paddock for a group of 8 families. The river bank wasn’t quite at its best post some epic floods but the kids still had a ball playing in the sand by the river and cooling off. Yara was a great host and very helpful and friendly. We will be keen to return!

We had the best weekend at Yarra’s property - our group of 8 had a huge site with plenty of space between other groups. The property is beautiful and we loved the kayak trip down the river. Toilets were spotless and the shower was hot with great pressure.

Yarra is the most wonderful host! When we ran out of alcohol she even supplied us with some from her own stash to save us an hour long round trip into town 😂

Thank you Yarra! We’ll be back very soon.
